Straight Shot Segway Reticle Leveler Mark III

Talk about being in the dark about one of the easiest to use tools! I have been mounting scopes on my rifles for over 30 years and have evidently always done it the hard way. I recently started reviewing different reticle leveling devices and came across this simple item as it had the best reviews. Extremely easy to use, I would recommend positioning your scope for eye relief first, then place your firearm in your rifle vise and mount the leveler across the flats of your scope bases. the metal connecting rod is square so it will lay flat on your bases. Level your rifle at this point, then just get behind the firearm, and you will easily be able to align the reticle with the lines on the leveler. Cinch it down at that point, making sure that the reticle lines stay even with the leveler. You're done! Beats the devil out of using plumb bobs, strings, and old fashioned guess work-and takes a lot less time. It works with various receiver types, I have used it on M1A-Picatinny rail mounts, Ruger/Remington bolt guns and Ruger No. 1 Single Shot. Some reviewers state having trouble with seeing the lines, instructions say to turn variable scopes to lower power. This helps considerably.

looks pretty good out of the box, haven't actually used it yet, i'll update once i doit's kind of funny how it comes with a branded elastic, that looks pretty much the same as the ones that are on broccoli

This is easy to use and works the first time. It has the four coarse lines pictured on the front and fine lines on the back. It is easy for me to use and if I can use it without my trifocals it should be easier for someone with better eyes. The rubber band is easy to take off and put on. The plastic part slides free from the brass rod so it is easy to place. The rod is sized so it fits easily into a groove on a weaver style base.

This sight-installation aid is great in theory. However, on both of the rifles I've tried to use it on, it's been quite difficult to attach it to a level surface near enough the eyepiece for it to work as it's designed to.Depending on the gun, it might work very well, but even if it is easily mounted, it's necessary to assume that the surface is perpendicular to a vertical line extended from the precise center of the bore. That's not always the case, but this device would usually get you close enough for all but the most demanding situations such as competitive shooting.

I think it's as accurate, cheaper, and faster as any set of levels for scope set-up to match rifle with scope. Easily laid flat on a picatinny then just rotate scope to parallel up the horizontal lines with your horizontal scope hair. Done. No interpreting expensive floating bubbles that may or may not match each other and might be off a fraction one way or the other. Or worse, using a single bubble you re-position to interpret both rifle and scope with.

A great tool to line up your scope sight!. The Segway MKIII Reticle Leveler make it easy to set up any rifle scope. Once you set the reticle level on your rifle just follow the directions which are written on a very easy steps. I was very impressed with this tool after setting my rifle scope once I was done, I adjusted (zero-in) my rifle scope for long range shooting and I was ready for game. This is one of the best tools on the market. I totally recommended!
