This is a sturdy, high quality bulb! It's very convenient and works well for me. I turn it on on Thursday night, so I won't forget. Then I turn it off on Saturday night. It's a lovely, warm light, so I use it sometimes during the rest of the week, too. I highly recommend this bulb.

As described and really soft light. It's was quite a bargain since the other light bulbs that are similar are a few dollars more. It also fit in the lamp without any issues and it's fairly easy to use.

I have been using this bulb for 5 years straight. I have it in a floor lamp with 2 arms and use it daily. It just burnt out and will rebuy. Saved from remembering to turn on a shabbos lamp each week. Totally worth the money

It works but it is only 40w

So after using the ShabBulb for a couple weekends, I decided I had to leave a review. The bulb has been fantastic! It's been a total game-changer. I don't have to worry anymore about setting a timer each week and trying to adjust the times and figure out what I'll need. I can just leave the ShabBulb on and just "switch it off" when I need to.Anyways, to give an overall review:When the ShabBulb first arrived, the first thing I noticed was the fact that it was not in any ordinary box, but it was in a solid impressive box. Just by the design and high quality packaging alone, I was impressed from the get go (it almost felt better packaged than my iPhone was!). They did a really nice job of designing the box and making it look high quality.The actual bulb itself has some serious heft to it - it looks light but then when you pick it up, it's got some serious weight and is made from some solid construction. It seems super durable and I was pretty impressed. Before I put it into my lamp, I played around with the little lever on the side to move the shade back and forth. it slides pretty easily and works pretty well!So, for the light test. I decided to try using it in my bedroom lamp, where I was planning to use it primarily. It fit without any issue into both of my lamps in the room. I turned off the lights and switched it - it gives off a decent amount of light, and was a nice color light. It is certainly enough light to keep the room lit enough, and more than enough for using the read in bed or whatever else. Then the big test - the light shade. I moved the lever to move the shade closed and was really impressed. The bulb became completely dark and the room was entirely dark again. it worked well beyond what I had hoped for. The lever was easy to move back and forth even when in the lamp, and it blocked out 99.9% of the light, it was pretty awesome.Anyways, I've been using it for the past couple weekends and both my wife and I absolutely love it. I was skeptical at first about buying it, but now I am super happy that I did. I would 100% recommend this to anyone looking for a great way to have some light on for shabbat, without having to worry about keeping a lamp on all night or constantly fiddling with timers every week.

Works well but a little shaky.

I have been using this bulb for about a year. It emits a really nice light, is easy to use (easy to slide the lever) and the packaging is actually great. I use this every weekend and I store the bulb in the box each week and the box is still like new. The bulb gives off a much nicer and stronger light than any other shabbos lamp that I've used. Also, since I just put it into an existing night table lamp, it doesn't take up any extra room. I highly recommend this item.

These are NOT cheap, but well worth it. Our first one we bought a few years ago and it is still working...granted, we only use it on our Sabbath or Jewish holidays, but it is easy to use, works great. I was so excited when I even found out such a product existed. Instead of timers, you just use a small lever to shut it off or move in the other direction to turn on. You can even dim it if you want just a little light, or put it to the end to make it the brightest if you are reading. I got once recently for my little nook area in my anti room before our bedroom. I have a chaise there and love to cozy up with my pillows and blanket and read a good book during our Sabbath. I highly recommend this product for anyone who needs/wants one. Would make a great gift too, if someone wanted to get for a Sabbath observer.
