Another Winner by Konig
Konig is always fantastic. Hilarious, and spot on. And refreshingly frank when it comes to gay content, both sexual and social. The kindle version of this would benefit from comic-like smart viewing. Each page is one big image that one has to doubletap on to zoom in to be able to read individual panels, but that's a small irritation when compared to the ability to have one of Konig's great comics on a tablet.I also have the paperback which was quite large in format, which was a nice surprise. The translation to English only had a few gaffes, which was cool as well. I'm used to English translations of foreign "adult" comics being very hit or miss.I only wish the book were longer, and that there were more titles by Konig available in English translation.

Recommended for gay bears with a great sense of humor
Very cute if you love gay humor then this is a comic book for you. I'd like to collect all of the books by Ralf Konig.

Ralf Konig is an excellent writer
Roy and Al is a funny tail of two dogs and their gay fetish masters. Since I know a little Deutsch, and own some of Konig's other non translated works. I feel that some of the jokes and storylines were lost on US readers since some of the human characters are from other Konig stories. For example "the Guy with the can opener's" Ex is in a few one off comics with Paul and to me it's funny to see him queening out since he's usually a macho sexy leather bear. Now that I think about "the Guy with the Can Opener" might be from another book as well. I find that Konig does that a lot and it adds dept to his comics. Too bad only six of his books where translated to English.I really enjoyed Ralf Konig's style and find that his references to gay culture, bears, BDSM, and Leather are spot on.Danke,Herr Billy N auf California

A tale of two dogs
I thoroughly enjoyed this book from beginning to end.Roy and Al are two dogs whose masters are a gay couple who have recently started dating. But if the masters are getting along splendidly, it's not the same for the dogs. Roy and Al could not be any more different: Roy is a plump, good-natured mongrel who adores his master, while Al is an uptight, arrogant and totally homophobic purebred whose sufferings have no end since now he is not only burdened with a gay master, but also another (male) dog who likes sniffing his backside! The interactions of the two dogs, their masters and their masters' colorful friends are downright hilarious! This is a book I highly recommend not only to Konig's fans but to anyone with a taste for sarcastic canine humor.

Extremely funny and shockingly clever...
An ex of mine bought this about ten years ago and I never got around to reading it. It was collecting dust and now lost somewhere among my boxes in storage. I ended up getting a copy from the man himself--Ralf--and boy what a fool I was for not reading it sooner! The comic oozes with total charm, the characters all adorable and loveable--even Al who's always annoyed with his dire life circumstances. I either have a huge smile on my face while reading it or chuckling. Twice I laughed until my stomach hurt. Now that's rare, and special!

Not so funny
I was disappointed in the graphic novel. The first chapter or section was funny but the humor was dated. I honestly thought I was reading something for the 1990s. I read a review from the American Library Association and that's what made me decide to purchase this graphic novel. I am sad to say both the graphic novel and the association's review was disappointing. If you want to buy it go ahead, but remember the humor is dated and by the end of the graphic novel you may wish you had your money back.

Pup's-eye view of gay life
I really enjoyed the humor and insights on gay life and love--as told by Al, a highstrung purebred, and Roy, the easygoing mongrel who moves in when his master starts dating Al's "canopener". Ralf Konig is a wildly popular German comic artist whose works include sexually explicit drawings and plots.
