Works as intended
Took a bit to learn how to detach the tool. Works great. Powerful, seems sturdy. Used on medium power setting without too much noise. Great for plunge cutting or trim work to cut out specific sections. Bought for one project but I'm sure I'll use it for more. Good value. I would purchase again. UPDATE 11/13/2024: I have used this for several projects with success. Such a great all-around tool. It is holding up very well. A new favorite tool. I would definitely recommend this as a purchase for all sorts of tasks.

A great multitool!
This Rockwell Sonicrafter is a beast! It's powerful enough to cut through just about anything, yet still surprisingly easy to control. The variety of accessories is incredible – I've used it for everything from sanding down furniture to carving intricate details. The carry bag is a nice touch too, making it easy to transport and keep everything organized. If you're looking for a versatile and powerful oscillating tool, this is the one.

Nice tool, universal maybe
Bought as a replacement for a Chicago Electric (Harbor Freight) multitool that burned out quickly. I love the quick change blade arrangement, albeit it wont properly chuck up Bosch "starlock" blades, which are suppose to be "universal", worked fine in the brand X, and are listed as working for Rockwell, as is the Rockwell listed as for universal blades (has assorted pin positions, but factory blades use a square hole in the middle). Don't know who to blame, but these are the only thing I can buy locally within 30 miles. The tool itself works as expected, seems to have more power than my old one. The supplied blades are "standard", therefore don't hold up well, expect to replace them in a few uses (after about 30 cuts on l1 1/2" x 1/4" lattice the blade is starting to smoke), so order some better blades (and hope they fit)

It's good for what it's good for
I did everything I could to avoid buying an angle grinder and a circular saw because they scare me. I got this sonic oscillating multitool in order to avoid those others but it turns out that it is not a replacement for those tools - when you need them, this one will not substitute really. However, it is good for certain things, like cutting wood that is awkwardly located, sanding small areas and undercutting thresholds in already mounted wood trim. I am not sure how it compares to rotary tools like dremels that use many of the same tools tips. When you can use the oscillating multitool to do something, it is usually the only tool that will do the job, so there is that. I recommend this one - it is powerful, easy to use, and a good price.

My personal Light Saber - helped me build my gorgeous fence
I call this multi-tool my personal light saber because it has helped me make cuts that I just would not have been able to make in a reasonable amount of time to finish my fence around my backyard. I had to disassemble panels to cut them to fit perfectly in a certain space - so reduce from an 8 ft panel down to say 4 ft 2 inches. With a circular saw, a nail gun and this multi-tool I've been able to do this work myself in a reasonable amount of time. I had never used a multitool before but after practicing on some scrap wood - I was ready to go. I've used it to cut nails and brad nails on the panels which helps prevent damage vs trying to pry them off. I've used it to make tons of plunge cuts and to cut joints as you can see in the photo. Mine came with a set of blades and a very nice bag to keep the tool and the blades in. I love this thing and highly recommend.

Most useful tool you’ve never heard of!
I didn’t know this tool existed until I saw it on YouTube. It was described as the most useful tool around you’ve never heard of. I am a novice woodworker. I cannot tell you how often I use this tool to fix my mistakes. You can buy extra blades that cut through light metal, plastic, etc. I usually use the one rated for both wood and metal. It allows me to cut protruding brad nails and screws, and chop wood segments that I can then chisel out. For example, today I messed up by prematurely gluing, nailing, and screwing in a cleat before I realized I had messed up. I was able to fix my mistake by trimming away the ends of the cleat to allow other boards to fit and align. It is sort of like a rotary tool on steroids, although it oscillates in a narrow range, which is good because it allows one to precisely focus it. This model allows you to operate the tool with the blade facing to the sides or straight ahead. It uses standard blades and it is easy to switch out blades. Highly recommend it. It is one of those things that will make you wonder how you ever did without it.

Great Tool
My husband and I bought a house last summer; we had to rip out the plumbing and redo both bathrooms, for starters, but I’ve used this tool on every, single project… sanding small corners, cutting out old shiplap behind studs, cutting out roots in post holes, cleaning out grout lines. Best tool ever! Apparently I bought this in 2018 when it was only $79, but it’s only been taking a beating for the last year - it’s held up great, and I was thinking of picking up a second one, but not sure about the price now…
