ROAR!
For an avowed atheist, Brendan Powell Smith has created a faithful rendition of the classic Biblical tale of Daniel in the lions’ den. In 32 short pages, Smith transforms inert LEGO bricks into a dynamic storytelling canvas. Although his "Noah’s Ark" was one of my favorites of his many talented works, this book is a close runner-up. The constructed scenes are tighter and more intimate – less busy and broad. But each carefully constructed and colorful page imparts a distinctive visual power that befits the story of a young man’s faith in God.This feels like Smith’s most contemplative work in both his Brick Bible series, as well as his other works like "Revolution" and "Assassination." Perhaps the quiet power of this work reflects Smith’s love of this particular story. Or perhaps the lesson of being steadfast in what you believe – no matter the challenges or costs involved – resonated with this enormously original and iconoclastic artist who has created a fresh look of a timeless tale.

All of Brendan Powell Smith's Brick Bible books are amazing! We love the big editions
All of Brendan Powell Smith's Brick Bible books are amazing! We love the big editions, but these small stories are perfect for younger children. This one is a particular treasure. You will not be disappointed.

The Brick Bible is NOT for Kids!
This book is NOT for children; it is NOT even for Christians. It did not surprise me to discover that the author is a self-proclaimed athiest. His choice of what parts of the Bible to emphasize (especially his poor choices of Old Testament themes), and the images he chooses to portray these stories include large amounts of bloodshed, fire and brimstone, and sexual innuendo, which vividly undermine the Christian message of an all-Loving God who redeems His people through the story of Salvation History.I purchased this book as a present for my children. After pre-reading it, however, I plan to try to return it to the bookseller, and, if they will not refund my money, I plan to throw it in the TRASH. My husband and I both have theology degrees, and we know the message that God wants to give each person through His sacred Word. These books do not deliver this message. The Old Testament book, in particular, is horrendous in its choice of images; I would not suggest any person, least of all a child, read it. The New Testament book is mostly acceptable, except that the last third of it is taken up by vividly grotesque depictions of the Book of Revelation.May God's Love, the Holy Spirit, enlighten Mr. Smith's heart and all those who read this.

Loved them
How can anyone put a bad review on these lovely books. So fun that bricks were creatively made into telling a story.

Christian? Please read.
WARNING: A mockery of the Bible, and was not created to be accurate at all. of the reviews, especially the ones who left a 1 star. Not the Bible in context AT ALL. None of the stories were told accurately according to the original Bible. While reading the book, you will see that the author intentionally skewed the stories and the characters. Including whom Jesus is.I was tremendously disappointed by this production. I thought it was even praise worthy at first, until I opened the book to the FIRST PAGE. God was immediately depicted as an angry old man. He even held a knife a few pages in (WHERE WAS THIS EVER MENTIONED in the Bible?)Almost the entire book is graphic, filled with stories taken out of context and with characters fighting/slaughtering each other. This production (along with his other books) are a direct attack on the Bible and the Christian faith. There is nothing more to say about this, but really, it's time for this author to move on to bigger things in his life. The target audience that the author wants to captivate (and mislead) are children and adults who don't know the Bible, Christ, and God the Father. Please be aware of this. Read more

Do not buy this garbage
Attention all Christian parents and grandparents: these books are a disgusting attack on Christianity as a whole that are written by a self proclaimed atheist. This line of books was clearly written in order to mislead children rather than truly educate them on the love and mercy of the true God. May the author experience true conviction and remorse and discover God the Father and write about the Truth.
