I initially bought two, one for painting on and sending to a customer and the second, I kept for myself. They are lovely feeling mugs, I don't know about you but for me the texture of a mug makes all the difference and these are soft and chunky, not hard and thin like most mugs. It add to the morning cosiness of that first cup of coffee. I don't use the lid, but my customer does, and likes it. The initial one was cream coloured and the new ones are black-grey. I treated myself to new ones because the mug is so nice and I wanted a black version so that when my dad comes round we can both have a really nice cup of coffee from a really nice mug. The cork base is really useful, I keep mine attached to a magnetic surface with the magnets while they are in the dishwasher and then reattach them after. I'd love to know how to get or make replacement bases because the first one is starting to look a bit scruffy. I'll probably figure out how to make one myself because spare bases seem not to be available. The only gripe is that they are a bit expensive but I've looked all over for cheaper equivalent mugs and not found anything this nice.
