ENU RTD Chocolate Whey Protein Shake 17g (12 Pack) | Lactose & Gluten Free, Non-GMO Workout Drink For Muscle Gain | Healthy Weight Gain Nutrition Drink

I got my 12-pack two days ago and drank my first carton this morning of June 23rd. I have no complaints about the taste. There is nothing wrong with the taste. This drink taste very good actually and is not too sweet. I do notice the slightly fatty consistency, or it could be that the drink is really smooth in texture. I have the vanilla shakes.I planned on drinking just one a day but have decided to drink at least two a-day. June 16 2014 I had a cervical laminectomy from C3 to C7; my spinal cord was being crushed and major nerves that serve each arm were severely crushed as well. I was becoming paralyzed but now that has been reversed. Do to that condition I lost a lot of weight especially muscle mass. Then May 7 of this year I had a Lumbar Fusion with a laminectomy to correct spondylolisthesis and crushing of affected nerve roots. My weight was still deteriorating and loss of muscle mass continues.I was a strong man so you can see how this mentally affected me. To make a long story shorter; I will continue to take ENU until my pocket book says no more, then I will look for something less expensive but until such time I will stick with this.

I have not personally tasted these. But I was thrilled to find a more natural option for my Dad. He has cancer and does not have an appetite. Because he has esophageal cancer, for a while it was difficult for him to eat anything solid. It made me happy to get him something that is better for him than Boost or Ensure. He didn't love them...but at least I tried. 4 stars is because of the ridiculous cost. People are sick and can't afford these kind of outrageous prices. I really think it's greedy to fleece people in a condition where they need products like these. I think they should be more expensive than the artificial stuff. But within reason. If he did really enjoy them I don't know how we would have afforded to keep him in meals this way.

Now I think these pack a powerful punch! My Mom who is elderly needs a high calorie shake to meet her protein needs and calories, she says the taste is okay.. I just like the idea of the high calorie & high protein. My son who has pancreatitis has to go a few days without eating to ease pressure on his pancreas at times and I have bought these for him. They both like the taste of the Mighty Shakes better then this but this is a much more nutrient shake in my opinion.

It is what it is. 430 calories and 23 gm of protein. I lost a lot of weight without trying. I dropped 20 pounds in less than a month from 140 to 120. I am 72 years old and 5'7. I was far from overweight. Old people like me sometimes don't get the nutrients needed to live. My weight has stabilized and I am feeling so much better. Unlike Boost and Ensure, ENU is a true meal replacement. I use half a container before bedtime and the other half as soon as I wake up in the morning aND I use a second bottle half bottle at a time when I don't have much of an apetite. I find that it is okay to leave it on your bedside table overnight. Cold or room temperature it is just fine unless you prefer it cold. Yes, it cost more per case but you actually replace a meal. If you are buying Boost or Ensure by the case it would take two bottles at a time to get close to the nutrition in one bottle of ENU and even then it won't replace a meal. Don't waste anymore money on Boost or Ensure.

Purchased for my Husband. Needs to put weight on, due to chemo treatments etc. He is not the type to drink this type of drink so I was concerned that it would be wasted. He has tried others and disliked the taste,consistency or whatever! Well surprise he actually likes the chocolate and now I am ordering the vanilla. Hopefully this will help him put a few pounds on. We shall see.

I was recently in a bike accident and broke my jaw in three places. My mouth is wired shut for six weeks. Getting calories is a top priority! I am also lactose intolerant. Most weight gain products are milk based. Most protein drinks are low fat and low calorie. I am trying to get as much fat, calories and nutrition in as little fluid as possible. Thank goodness for ENU! My friend who's son was also in a bike accident 9 weeks ago, discovered ENU and bought me a few cartons. I can't thank her enough for bringing me my life saving fluid! I have had a difficult time finding the product. Whole Foods was the only store in my area to carry it. They ordered me a few cases (@ $5.00 per carton) and I bought five case through Amazon (at a much better price $3.33 per carton.) I am grateful to have the product. I have actually gained weight in the last couple of days. I look forward to eating real food but in the meantime I am happy to drink ENU! Chocolate is my favorite.

Used to buy cases a month and it was the best on the market with calories, taste and ingredients etc. and it was free next day shipping. I guess it was changed for greed? I called the company and they said it was the same formula they just ruined it by making it a smaller and thus much more expensive. They told me initially it be would in a an 18 case so it would remain very close to the once per once price as the old bigger size. But instead it’s now a tiny drink in a 6 pack and added shipping that is slow. This is a really bad company as they also just suddenly pulled it from the market for months to make it worse and could never even give a release date for the new mythical 18 case size. People like my self and others depend on products like this to maintain weight and don’t want to drink sweetened floor clean that most the other drinks are closer to ingredients wise than real food/nutrition.

I was a huge fan of these back when they first came out. Then they changed the formula. The change tasted horrible and was less nutrient-dense. I have severe digestive issues and recently lost a good bit of weight without trying so I decided to give these a chance again. They've fixed the formula and it almost tastes like it did when I first bought them - like lightly sweetened, chocolate-flavored cheerios milk. It's perfect for someone who struggles with nausea and no appetite constantly. The nutrient profile is better too! Hopefully with the help of these shakes, I can gain my weight back or at least stop losing.
