I was surprised at how little the darkening on the boots was. Everyone said dramatically, but all I noticed was that the really pale parts were made a little more even, so it did reduce the patina a bit immediately after application.I bought it for a pair of ugg motorcycle boots that I've had for almost 10 years and their water-resistance was comical by now. Couldn't even walk through wet grass without getting my toes wet. 4 coats on the toe and 2 everywhere else and now they just laugh at water. the leather was pretty dry feeling, even after a few coats of lexol, but this really seemed to give it back a lot of suppleness. The critical part is to use a hair dryer on high after applying each coat to let it really SOAK into the leather. Just wiping it on won't do much. the heat is critical. I put a rather big bead of it with my finger along the seam stitching to the sole of the boot and it soaked in really nicely.It takes a little while to do, maybe 20 minutes a boot. But the results are absolutely spectacular. I can't speak to the longevity yet, but it's just wax and oil, so theoretically it should last a long time. I used maybe 20% of the jar on two boots. But it did take them from being basically unusable (living in seattle, boots need to be kinda waterproof) to completely like new again. They're a little darker than when they were new, but it's leather, it's supposed to change throughout its life, and the leather went from feeling crispy dry to supple and soft and oh so waterproof again.Buy this stuff. If you don't own a hair dryer, this stuff is worth the $25 to get one.I'm going to do some watch straps and my canvas backpack with it next.

Great stuff, used in on suede shoes and it came out exactly​ like expected. It darkened it slightly and flattened the pile. I love the way that they look and now my boots are waterproof!

FIne product, but note that the stocking/shipping information is misleading. It it is NOT shipped from stock held in the UK. It may well be "in stock" somewhere, but it has to be shipped to the UK first (seemingly by sea) before gets shipped to you.

I got these for a pair of thorogood boots and they completely waterproof them. Also. Just did my gloves today so we'll see how that works out

Great, works just as described. It did however make my brown boots into dark brown boots. They still look great but if you have a light colour and don't want it to change, then this product may not be right for you.
