Sturdy bike, well made.
It's a learning curve after a lighter bike. Being heavy it takes more careful handling. It does perform nicely as an electric bike and with common sense use of the battery it will go far. To save battery power pedal as much as possible on hills.I had a bad pedal and the company replaced both overnight express. If your looking for a powered bike that is well constructed, this fits the bill.

No customer support
I had a previous version of this bike. It is now a 70 pound E-bike with no E. It last for about a year and it was great. But eventually, through no mis-use, the battery housing broke and I tried like heck to get a replacement to no avail. Not just under warranty, but AT ALL. Tried emails, phone calls, online form submission etc. all to no avail. Just want people to be aware of what they are getting into with this bike. Maybe they've improved the battery/housing, but if they haven't - good luck getting support...

The Phantom Is An Outstanding Bike
First, a disclaimer, off the top. I do not own this model, but purchased the model prior to this one, where the battery is roughly twice the size of the one here, and more bulky. I remove the battery, when lifting/folding the bike, as the battery adds more weight to an already heavy bike. This model has basically unchanged since the previous model, with the major change being the battery size, and you actually get a bike rack above the battery. With mine, the battery sits on top and there is no bike rack, just the mounting for the battery. The craftsmanship of the Phantom is outstanding, in build quality, and looks of the bike. I have had my bike now for seven years and still get compliments on the way the bike looks, and people wanting to know where I got it. I took the bike to San Francisco, and rode from the bike from the fort, under the Golden Gate Bridge, down in to Pier 39, and around. There is a hill before reaching the Pier 39 area, where the majority of bikers were walking their bikes up the hill. I was able to use pedal assist, to easily ride up the hill, with the aid of the motor.I weigh 260 pounds, so I know that I put a load on the motor, but I am still able to zip along at a good pace. Being able to fold this bike and place it in my vehicle is a GREAT thing. I do not have to worry about a bike rack, and my expensive bike hanging on that rack, while driving, or when I stop and have to run into a business. It offers great peace of mind.Overall, you get what you pay for.

Worst customer support!
I must agree with the previous reviewer about their lack of customer support. We purchased the bike less than two years ago, and it stopped working right around a year's mark. It literally stopped in the middle of the road. After numerous emails and phone calls, the bike is still sitting in my garage, in its unusable state. What is the point of a two-year warranty, if they never had an intention to follow through, other than to give consumers a false sense of product quality! Terrible, terrible customer support. Be aware if you are considering this bike. Buy local, and it will save you a lot of future headache.

Good value for what you get.
I bought mine on Amazon Jan 2018 and have had it for about a years and a half. Battery still holding a good charge. Initially it stopped working after about four months but Prodeco warranty parts and labor fixed it (took two months and $20 battery shipping). Major drawback... extremely heavy! NOT light weight!! Feels like it weighs 70 lbs and not usable without a charge because it’s sooo heavy.

Very good brand but you may want to consider another Prodeco model with a frame battery.
Like most e-bikes, this bike is fun to ride. The battery being on the rack makes this model top heavy so it is a bit unstable when while peddling up steep hills off of the seat. The rear tire is a major pain to get on and off so going tubeless or installing puncture resistant tires and tubes and perhaps even a tire liner. You need a large, heavy wrench and a lot of patience to get the rear wheel off and back on. All in all the build quality is very good but you may want to consider paying more for the frame mount battery model.
