Yes. It does come in a box with the controller,battery, charger and extra blades

Q: Whats the failsafe if the quad goes beyond the transmitter range? Will the motors power off or will it continue the last recieved command?

There isn't one on this, it is just a toy Quad-copter. If you want that option you would need to step up into their Aton!

Q: What is the difference between traxxas alias and latrax alias?

They look identical. Don't know what the difference is. I've had the Latrax for almost two years. It's still going strong.

I would assume so. When I purchased the drone, I wasn't able to select a specific color. An orange one came, along with the controller, charger, extra blades in both colors and the manual.
