Maybe I can help the ones who gave it low reviews to understand what type of blessing this is. First of all it’s NOT A RELAXER/PERM!! It clearly states that and I have type 4C thick coarse hair and this texturizer does exactly what it states. If you have my natural hair type and want your coils and curls to show more of a lift and Easy to manage then this is the one for you. It’s not suppose to straighten your hair. If that’s what you wanted then you need a perm/relaxer. I have some coarse thick hair that had been chemically Damaged over a year ago when I went to a salon for a blowout and silk press. The hairdresser put a highlighter in my hair and burn my hair with the flatiron which lead to my hair started falling out the very next day when I woke up to brush my silk wrap out. I was devastated because as much as I tried to treat it with the best salon brand hair treatments, my hairdresser who I had to go back to and drive 4 hours told me that I would loose my hair because it was chemically damages and the hairdresser burned my hair with the flatiron. After a month I purchased this and I am feeling good with the results. Even though I have some areas of hair loss that’s going to grow back just having soft, coils and curls to comb through has made this transition for me the best ever. The key to repairing damaged hair is moisture. Keeping the hair moist and removing damaged hair, split ends are the main thing and don’t let anyone experiment on your hair and end of like me. That photo is just from almost a month ago and look at how it’s grown out. It was all cut off like a boy down to the scalp! I give it 5 ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ It’s all in how you care for your hair if you want good results. This gives me that soft natural look that I have always wanted!

I did some research online before I purchased this texturizer. I applied it to my kinky course hair and I love it. I left it in for 15 minutes and my hair turned out so pretty. I still had some curls in my hair and it did not straighten my hair like bone straight..I’m very impressed. This has made my hair so much more manageable.

Worked great. I have short 4C hair and it came out great. I used a leave in conditioner after but the product defined my curls.

My curls are still in tact just slightly looser and easier to brush through when wet. I did leave the product in 5 minutes longer than the suggested time. I have 3b/3c hair. I would suggest getting 2 boxes because the tub is small and only enough to touch up roots. To everyone leaving comments that this product does nothing I think you are looking for a relaxer. I see why this might not be strong enough for someone with type 4b or 4c hair. I’ve seen dozens of bad reviews on other texture softeners here on Amazon saying that it ruins their curls or straightened their hair completely like a relaxer, well people, this product is exactly what you’re looking for. You will still have your curls after this! I had a small bit of shedding afterwards but a little damage is expected with any chemical process. Just take good care of your hair afterwards. A suggestion to someone looking for something a little stronger is “just for me” texture softener. It’s probably twice as strong as this but if you wash it out a few minutes early it doesn’t completely straighten your hair like a relaxer.

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT, UNLESS YOU WANT YOUR HAIR TO FALL OUT!!!! Absolutely the worst hair texturizer I have ever used, and I have used many products from this brand for over a decade. I am a mixed gal, and my hair has ALWAYS been soft and silky. Unfortunately, after using this texturizer a few times over the past few years (and following the exact instructions), my hair has: fallen out, dried out and become coarse in texture. I have bald my head a few times to try and regrow my hair to its original: strength, texture, quality, length and shininess. Unfortunately, I have been unsuccessful at those goals. I DO NOT RECOMMEND TO ABSOLUTELY A SOUL. WORST HAIR TEXTURIZER AND WORST HAIR FORMULAS FROM THIS COMPANY. This company no longer uses the chemicals and formulas they once did.

Performs betrer than texturizers that have Lye! This is coming from a 4C. I've repeated purchase om this one cuz it delivers reliably. Bear in mind this is a texturizer, not a straightener. You can achieve a straighter look with moisture and other products, but not by itself. The neutralizing agent performs as promised and I tend to have plenty of it left after thoroughly washed the texturizer out repeatedly.

This works so well - I don't need to use a lot for a good curl.
