Struggled to find actual single-ingredient “chilli” powder in the US, every other organic one seems to be a mix of spices. Happy to find a certified organic chilli powder I can use for Indian cooking. Smells good, colour is rich and it tastes great. Pretty spicy so I don’t need to use too much per dish.

This ground spicy chili pepper powder has a very spicy kick and is a go to chili for any dishes requiring a hot authentic red chili powder. Great for East Indian cuisine or any time hot chili powder is called for.

Good quality & good tasting chili powder. Nice value (cost per ounce) based on the quality compared to other premium type brands in the local grocery store. Not ridiculously spicy (which would upset my younger kids).

OMGoodness; the scent should have told me from the start the spice was too much!!! Not for the faint of heart or those that cannot handle the heat. Made tacos and our mouths were on FIRE and so was our stomachs after one bite. No matter the amount; its was too much heat for us. Yuck! Smelled good though.

Fresh and smells great! Good value for money, good quality, great flavor and organic which is what I prefer to use in my cooking. Will be ordering more!

This is NOT "chili powder" as in what some people are expecting here. The listing name is confusing people. Many people use the terms "chili" interchangeably, so some people are thinking "chili" as in a pre-mixed spice blend for adding to beans (and often ground beef) to create a pot of chili. THIS IS NOT THAT. Other people think of "chili" as spicy chili-pepper powder. This IS that. This is simply powdered plain cayenne chili peppers without the extra "chili" seasonings, such as cumin, garlic, etc. Both kinds of chili powder have their place in cooking (or at least, in my cooking) but they are NOT the same. When cooking a pot of chili for my family, who can't handle spicy food, I use CHILI POWDER and NOT CAYENNE POWDER. I would NEVER put this stuff in the chili that my husband and children eat, they couldn't handle it. In fact, I THOUGHT this was "chili seasoning" and put it in my chili and my husband couldn't eat it. I would, however, use both CHILI POWDER and THIS KIND OF PLAIN CAYENNE POWDER in my own chili for me to eat. Now that that's clarified, I'll review it as actual, plain CAYENNE powder, (which is precisely what it IS): The reviews that claim this cayenne powder is "so hot it will destroy you" are laughable. I am, right now, sipping a half teaspoon of it in a quarter cup of warm water with no discomfort at all. I regularly dump this "chili powder" (cayenne powder) on my food. I am not a person who eats EXTREME heat chilis. I had an Ethiopian friend who's mom made a delicious dish that set my mouth on fire, to the amusement of the entire family. I couldn't eat it despite how delicious it smelled. I actually take cayenne for it's therapeutic benefits. I just placed an order for 35,000 hsu and 90,000 hsu cayenne powders, because this cayenne definitely isn't hot enough. I'm SURE the 35,000 and 90,000 will knock my socks off and I'll have to start off real slow with tiny amounts until I build up tolerance for it. Anyway, if you're looking for organic cayenne powder that's NOT explosively hot, this stuff tastes fine. You can add it to your spicy dishes to suit your taste. If you're looking for "CHILI SEASONING" to FLAVOR your chili (with or without heat) look elsewhere, THIS AIN'T IT! FYI, in a pinch, you can make your own chili seasoning. Add cumin powder, garlic powder, onion powder, etc to taste. Happy cooking everybody! (
