Got a bad sample but Seller gave satisfying service.
The spatula was a proper size and shape, but the wood surfaces both the front and back, also the handle were rough. I don't know whether I got a bad one or the wood they used couldn't be smooth out. It is not pleasant to hold and the rough surfaces are like lots of tiny rocks as on a road or path.Got a bad sample but Seller followed up and offered an acceptable solution. Thanks!

i like it
this is the first wooden spatula that iv ever owned that had a curve along the blade. it appears to have been carved that way but im not sure. it does stand up to high heat and wet foods really well. the edge gets the littlest bit soft if you use it for prolonged wet food service and/or let it sit in wet dishes. but that is only around the edges and still performs quite well at sauteeing and flipping. the curve allows a lot of ease getting under and around food and for a wooden spatula thats pretty neat. i have a really nice set teflon pots and pans that up till now i have only used a silicone spatula on, to preserve the coating. i use bamboo cooking chopsticks on some of my dishes in these pans so i figured a wooden spatula wouldnt be a problem. i wanted to try it out first before i gave the green light to my wife, who wanted something more rigid to cook with. it was awesome. the wood just slides right over the pan like the chopsticks. no problem.in the interest of fairness, i will say this, if you have a cheap teflon coating. do not use this spatula on your cook wear. the edge is sharp enough to scratch it up if it is thin,old, or already has visible scratches. however the edge will soften with use. so just be aware.i like this spatula. it is easy to hold. it is not flimsy. it appears to be able to stand up to serious cooking. and grabbing food with it is a breeze.i recommend hand washing in lukewarm water the drying immediately. do not let any part of this just sit in water for any extended period of time.i was given this sample for free in exchange for my honest and unbiased review. thank you for reading. cheers!

Gorgeous and well-constructed!
Bought this from Amazon Warehouse with slight damage, but I'll repair and keep it because it is so beautiful. I can't seem to buy more, but I will keep looking.
