It combines an affordable price with ceremonial grade quality. All our Ceremonial Grade matcha is created from the 1st harvest (Ichibancha) in early spring and is 100% tencha (shade grown). This delicate tea, as its name suggests, is reserved for the notorious and elaborate Japanese Tea Ceremony. Ceremonial Grade is our sweetest, creamiest, most vibrant matcha...our highest quality. The tea leaves for Ceremonial matcha are harvested at the top of the tea plant at their youngest phase. As such, they have a sweet flavor, bright green color, and are loaded with nutrients and antioxidants.
