Fits and looks like an OEM product.
Fits and looks like an OEM product. Bought it so my dad can use his Garmin nav unit. It uses a standard ball peg mount, which is great! The ball/socket connection doesn’t feel as snug as the Garmin unit but a bit of floor polish applied to the socket, or even a small piece of plastic shopping bag wrapped around the socket, will fix that.

A must have improvement for your Jeep!
So, all the reviews are correct, but no one really calls out all the important details that help understand the reviews. I'll try to fill in that gap.First, this is a typical Rugged Ridge product. Well designed, well executed, and inexpensive. If it's inexpensive, it doesn't mean it's junk. It just means that it may not be as durable as something made with different (more expensive materials) or it may not be as refined as other company's products. I'll get to what that means in a second. The 13551.11 is the dash kit without the phone holder that mounts on the ball. It took a lot of looking for me to sort that out and I want to save you the search. This also fits just fine on a 2016 Wrangler (Unlimited.) Speaking of fit, this fits very closely and you need to pay attention to installation to avoid scratching the edge of the tray as other reviewers have pointed out. To do that you need to do one or the other (or both) of two things. The edges are not 'sharp' as it might cut you, but they are sharp and hard as in they can scrape up the softer plastic of the tray molded into the dash. To avoid that, you need to avoid the first mistake I made which was thinking this needed to be 'levered' into place. It doesn't. It just snaps into place. You can either round the edges using a reamer, file, or other tool to round the bottom edges as several other reviewers have noted. You don't really need to do that if you don't want to, but you do need to pay attention. The bracket will just snap into place so if you remove the bolt like described in the instructions and line the hooks up over the first two slots of the air vents and then just push straight down (you might have to give it a light little 'wack' to force it down so the hooks flex enough to get past the edge of the vent), the hooks will pop into place. Then you install the bolt and put the cover on and the installation of the base is complete. As to the mount itself, maybe I wasn't very observant, but there were several things I hoped worked the way I wanted but wasn't able to determine before I purchased it. Good thing was that everything was exactly the way I hoped:The ball mount is a 17mm or 1" ball, which is the same as Garmin mounts, the 'standard' ram-line 1" ball, and many others out there, so you can do with this exactly what I did and ditch the Garmin suction cup mount and attach my GPS Map exactly where I could see it easily! It fits a tiny bit looser than the Garmin one, but not enough for it to move. It's just a little less tight.I'll revise this review if the knob breaks off as a few of the other reviewers have noted. It was installed in August of 2016 so we'll see if there is an issue with plastic ageing under the sun.Second, the stud mound for a camera isn't obvious and if you look at the picture, you wonder how an action camera or any other stud mount device would attach. It turns out that the mount is three pieces (not including the bolt and tray) and the ball mount and the piece with the brass (yellow) insert and the larger hole are all separate pieces. You install them in different combinations depending on what you want set up. The base of the mount has a little thumb-wheel that you use to loosen and tighten the mounting pieces. I consider this a HUGE plus since it offers the possibility of mounting other things there too!All in all I'm very satisfied and I'm thinking I'm buying this as a gift for other JK and JKU owners I know!

Works great on my 2017 Jeep Sport Unlimited
As we all know, there’s not much storage in a Jeep and this fit the bill for my iPhone 11. Nice and sturdy. I took a start off because there is a mount you buy and the. A separate holder for the phone. I didn’t realize that but got the phone holder the next day.It does a good job of holding the phone sturdy. I date it a buy though it’s pricey for a plastic mount.

Does the job well needs a small improvement
Would give 5 stars other than the ball is 1mm small and the GPS unit I placed on it flips down on small bumps. Fixed right up with a thin layer of clear nail polish. Other than that it works great for both my GoPro and Garmin.
