Cardone A1 52-7370 Remanufactured Hydraulic Power Brake Booster without Master Cylinder,Black

The original hydrobooster lasted since 2005, so around 18 years, with Cardones incredible rebuild process the replacement started leaking after six months. Obviously they are after quick money and a short warranty period and now it's almost twice the price. Don't waste your money. Find another brand. Amazon values their customers and is sending me a replacement. Cardone would do nothing. By the way this was the second rebuild from Cardone, bought the first from rockauto, same issue, so here we go with number three!

Works great, mechanic quoted $420/parts + $240 labor to replace, so I saved about $500 doing it myself.Important tip: Clean the threads of the 4 bolts that go through the firewall with one of the nuts BEFORE installing the unit. The remanufactured unit has paint covering the threads and it makes it very hard to get the nuts on the inside tightened. I didn't think to do that and it turned a 2.5 hour job into a 4 hour job.

I certainly like the product and it fit like a glove on my GMC Yukon XL 1500.

Bolted right on , no leaks all good

I installed this on my 2004 Tahoe LT, it was a pain to get under my firewall from inside to unbolt these. It does not come with a preinstalled spring inside of the hydro, you have to manually take it off the old one and install the old one which is shown in the paperwork in the box. I used a half inch and placed it on top and slowly sided it out so the spring would not fly off from under me. Other part stores wanted almost 400 dollars for this part!!! I was lucky to fine a open box deal for 160 plus tax, it did not require me to send a core back either. My unit I received was already primed with fluid so it made the bleeding the system easy. I have drove a few thousand miles and so far I'm not filling it with power steering three times a week anymore, so that is a win for my book.
