Heard about this product from a friend. I'll admit I was a bit skeptical at first But after doing further research,it exceeded my expectations . The tags work as mentioned, the packaging is pretty simple. It was pretty easy to install, simply open up and press the button on the tag and boom.I am able to see the last location ping of my tag from my phone. I found this feature pretty cool and it seems to work well.My buddy mentioned his tags have lasted him over a year.

The media could not be loaded. Does not trigger a notification if my pet wearing the device goes out of range. I have tried all settings and did multiple tests. It did work a few times but does not work most of the times. Hence defeats the whole purpose. Even gets disconnected very frequently and you have to long press button on the device to activate the connection between device and app again.If you are looking for a reliable device, this probably is not for you. Honestly I have not tried other similar products so not sure if this tech general is not matured enough just on this product or on other products as well.

Dolphin Luggage Tracker is a nice product . Much cheaper than Apple's AirTag . Worked like a charm on an international trip for me .The app automatically switches on everytime you restart your mobile . And you need to login , go to profile and then log out of the app , to switch it off . That's a nuisance . Also , if you keep the app on at home or at hotel , everytime you are in range of the tags , alarms come on .

I bought this tracker for my laptop bag, and it has been a game-changer. The tracker connects quickly to my phone and alerts me when I leave my bag behind. I also appreciate the loud alarm feature, which helps me locate my bag quickly in a crowded room. The tracker's slim design makes it easy toslip into my bag without taking up too much space.

The app cannot show the battery status accurately. Even a new battery shows the attached photo levels in 12 hours. If we assume that battery is there when its low and lose the tracker, chances of getting it back thru community search or manual is low if the battery drains off

Update: 14/JanI am humbled and grateful to Tag8 service guys. Its been a month, and the guys followed up diligently and genuinely tried their best to resolve the QR code problem I was facing. They even replaced my tag with a new one. However, the problem seems to be with the iOS app. As a workaround, you can use an android app to register the tag and it works fine. I hope they release a fix for the iOS app soon. Adding one star back just for the wonderful customer service I received. Thanks for that!I got the dolphin tracker tag because I loved the concept of being able to tell if my cat is in the room/house. However every aspect of the tags implementation is flawed. I use the iOS app and it randomly and frequently doesnt ring the tag even when it is right next to it. This defeats the purpose of the tag in general. The QR code on the tag requires activation which doesnt work. The website it links to looks like it is under development & falling apart. I had to call the customer care to get the tag registered post which i got an email saying that my tag is registered. However, to this date scanning the QR code says the tag is not activated and i still continue to send screen recordings and follow up to atleast get the QR code activated. To summarize, the tag has ended up being an expensive QR code (if it eventually gets activated)

Overall product is good but overpriced.

This tag8 Dolphone Smart Tracker on its first appearance looked very promising. I decided to test it by setting it up to be used with my house keys. Downloading and setting up the app was very straightforward with my iPhone 12. However, I was noticing my battery drained very quickly after I downloaded the app. Having looked at battery usage in my iPhone settings, I could see that it was the Dolphin Smart Tracker that was using a considerable amount of battery (even compared to other high battery use apps). I, therefore, stopped using this tag8 after two days. I, therefore, can't recommend this to you.

It does not give live location and doest update the track history even.
