THIS IS THE BEST WAY TO SLICE EGGS. I HAVE ALSO USED IT TO SLIDE SMALL, SOFT FRUITS. DOES A GREAT JOB ON BANANAS.

It's rare that modern items work as well as their counterparts from as long as 50 years ago. This one is sturdy and works better than any ex-slicer I've ever had. The slices are comparitivly small, and I like that. Overall it is a great product and I would highly recommend it... Also easy to clean.

I used this slicer for the first time the other day and had some Baby Bella mushrooms that I put in it with the cap of the mushroom up toward the slicing wires. This slicer would not cut through the mushroom and I had to take out the mushroom and turn it upside down. This slicer might be OK for white mushrooms but it could not handle the Baby Bella mushroom in the “Cap Up” position. I am sure it would slice eggs with no problem.Clean up was easy and the metal body seems very solid. I was just worried about breaking one the wire cutting strands when cutting “beefier” mushrooms.

Excellent quality. It appears to be metal, not plastic. Gave it as a gift. Nicer than the one I have. Highly recommend.

This slicer certainly feels more heavy duty than any I have encountered since the 70's or 80's. I have only used this a few times, but it has thus far proved to be effective. It has some heft to it, the wires line up well with the cuts in the base. If this holds up, the way it feels, this should last a long time.Worth the money and a quick ship.
