I used it to recork my Bb clarinet mouthpiece-to-barrel cork. It was a little difficult getting the exact length cut right. WE took a heavy rolling pin and rolled the cork to stretch the width and flatten the thickness, to fit in the clarinets groove better. It worked just fine.

I mainly purchased for the pads, and they fit perfectly, exactly what I needed. Similar quality to what's already on my clarinet so that works well.

You never know when a pad or cork is going to give up on you- this is in my repair kit that I bring to all gigs and rehearsals. Haven’t had to use it yet thank goodness!

We managed to make it work, but it was not easy.So picture the round neck of a clarinet, now picture a straight strip of cork. See the problem from the beginning. The cork wanted to stay straight, but the neck of the clarinet is round. We even soaked it in water to try and make it more pliable. We cut it to fit, and glued it to the clarinet, but it just kept popping off because it wanted to be strait and not bent. In the end we tied a rubber band around it and let it sit overnight, and that managed to do the trick as far as getting it to stay on. That's when our next problem appeared.The cork is much thicker than the groove in the clarinet in which it is meant to sit. So once it was glued into place, the mouth piece would not slide over it. So we started sanding. And sanding. And sanding. After a half hour of hand sanding, we got out the electric sander (which by the way makes a terrible smell when you sand the actual clarinet itself) and finished the job. So now the cork is replaced and the mouthpiece will slide on and off with a bit of brute force.Then we tried the pads. Basically the same problem. They didn't fit. I put them in and they were so thick that the keys were permanently stuck half open, half closed. Too fat to close all the way, and too fat to let air pass naturally when open. ???Would I buy again? Yes, because I am super cheap and hate leaving my house, so I'd rather struggle to make an inferior product work in the comfort of my own home than have to go to the shop and pay a professional to do the job right.P.S. There is no glue, so you'll want to have your own on hand for both the pads and cork.P.P.S. The pads look like they have stickers backs that you can just peel off to make them stick on. They do not. If you try to peel the back off, you'll just rip the whole pad into pieces. Oops.
