The first 1 received had a dent in the largest section that impacted operation. They replaced it quickly. I've only used this a couple of times but it seems very well built. It is 30' so it is not light, but light enough when you consider the length.

Liked the adjustability

There was a glitch in shipping in which the rake attachment was not included in the original package. I did an Amazon return for the product. Although I asked that I only be sent the rake attachment I got the whole pole plus rake assembly. The product may have other uses, but as a roof rake it is not effective. The rake itself came damaged with a dent in the body that made it difficult to expand the rake. The pole itself is a light aluminum which lacks stiffness when extended. The pole bows significantly making it difficult to raise to second story roof sections. The rake also damaged one of my shingles, so I would not recommend it for use on a asphalt shingle roof. It probably will work better on metal roofs. The biggest problem with using the rake is that since it must lie flat to work, it can't reach high corners since the angle is wrong. In order to work on such sections a ladder is required, which sort of defeats the safety aspect of the product. This product is not suitable for two or more story houses that have complicated roof structures.

The rake works awesome, but be sure to get the wider head rack, it covers more area as to the narrow head rake. I use mine on a high roof to clean off pine needles.

This tool definitely solved the need for either myself or my wife from climbing on the roof. Very happy we purchased this.
