They're triggered easily by anxiety - particularly before a public talk or ...
I have two stubborn red patches on my face caused by rosacea that tend to flare at the slightest touch. They're triggered easily by anxiety - particularly before a public talk or in high-pressure business situations. It gives the impression that I'm flustered or embarrassed even when I don't know they're showing their clown-makeup appearance. So I tried the Algenist Reveal color corrector in green under my foundation (Lumene BB cream) and under powder foundation (IT Cosmetics). I was pleasantly surprised that it kept the redness at bay and in photos my skin tone looked even. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is 1) the price (which doubled since I bought this on Amazon!) and 2) I did have to re-apply before evening events, so I wouldn't say it's a 12-hour product. It did work though, and given the small amount needed I think it will last a very long time. I would repurchase at the price I paid (thirty something) - but not at the current price on Amazon (sixty something).

LOOOOOVVVVEE!!!!!!!!!!
Oh my goodness. This is my holy grail. Over the years I’ve tried to be a make up minimalist as I hate seeing the texture of it on me- this stuff is AMAZING. I have general redness all over (heyyyy there too much wine everysinglenight) and this product is so thin, almost watery, that it just blends right in. Many reviews mention pilling- yes, it totally does over certain prep products. Hylauronic acid didn’t work with it for me but I used a creamier day moisturizer with a primer and got perfection. My redness has actually significantly reduced after using it about a month so I need even less. I just love that I can now use a little of this with some powder and have the natural (but enhanced) face I’ve been seeking for so long! Love love love, absolutely obsessed, foundation face never again!!!! Oh! Also I’m super oily and this has been a major help! Gahhhhhh it’s the best just freaking try it!

Effects wear time and consistency of foundation, but good for shade adjustment.
Good for olive skinned people to adjust their foundation shade. However, it did effect the consistency of my foundation. I have combination skin and was using 1-2 drops in my foundation, which normally lasts 10 hours without sliding off.Unfortunately this caused it to only last about 6 hours instead.I have some redness in my T zone, so I tried it without mixing in my foundation and instead applied on its own to my face, then let sit about 10 min before adding my makeup. It seems I’d have to use quite a bit in order to get any decent coverage over my redness. I got the same results of makeup wear time with this method as well.I wanted to really love it and still think it’s effective for adjusting shades, but be aware that it might change the longevity and consistency of your makeup!

Didn't work well for me - still red, giant breakout
I so so wanted to love this product! I really liked the consistency, and it mixed well with my other skincare/makeup. It's lightweight. It has no fragrance. The little dropper is nice to use. I tried it on its own, and also mixed with other skincare/makeup (I tried mixing it with my moisturizer, my primer, and a light foundation), over the course of a workweek.BUTIt hardly masked any redness for me. I am fair-skinned, with mild rosacea and usually a couple of blemishes. Used on its own, it goes on very dry and sort of powdery/flaky. I could really stop there - for the price, the effectiveness definitely should be greater. Worse, though, this caused me a HUGE breakout, terrible angry cystic acne which I never get, in areas of my face where I rarely ever get blemishes. Which are bright red. #ironyI'm glad this product is able to be returned. Maybe it would work well for someone with less sensitive, less red skin.

It definitely helps!
I have rosacea and am always looking for something that will color correct without being too heavy because I don't were a lot of make-up. I used this straight out of the bottle and it definitely color corrected. Loved it! Later it dried and it look less great. I would recommend super moisturizing beforehand if you are not mixing it with anything (the directions tell you to add if to your favorite products) and that's why I am not taking off any stars for the dried out effect (since I used it incorrectly). I will keep using this product!

wish it was silicone free
good color, a better green for my application than most color correctors tend to be.only issue is the formula is silicone based so its use is pretty limited to water and silicone products. i use oil products almost exclusively due to severe dry skin. I've found i can use this only if I'm willing to spend extra time rubbing off the scales that form. not the end of the world, but not possible for some applications so i have to find a different product, silicone free.

It’s ok
I’m still trying to figure out the best way to work with this. It’s ok. I probably won’t buy it again tho.
