Took awhile to find the sweet spot for the clamp around center so it wouldn't leak. Louder then the original pump that came but seems to push more water around. Will see how it is in future. Just installed today

We bought and above ground pool last year and had one of those pumps that uses throw away filters. We decided a sand filter would be great. We followed the directions exactly. We even went over them several times before hooking it up to the pool. We finally got it all hooked up and turned it on and it leaks EVERYWHERE! We took it apart made sure all the gaskets were in place and all the hoses were hooked up correctly and nothing helped. It still shoots water out of it like that's what it was made to do. Long story short we haven't been able to use our pool this summer. I WILL NEVER BUY A PRODUCT FROM BESTWAY AGAIN!!!!! And you shouldn't either!

Let me preface by saying that I’m not a mechanical person, and this took many more tries than it would someone who is handy. Bestway instructions for pool and sand pump left a lot to be desired, and I relied heavily on spliced together, poor quality videos on YouTube. My pump leaked horribly out of two ports until we realized that it lacked rubber gaskets. I did contact Bestway, and they promptly sent the gaskets, and now it works well.It runs quietly and water flows well for my 1500 gallon pool. It does not have a timer, and it needs a rubber fuel hose for the backwash function.
