I like that it has magnets on the back so I can stick it on the front of my oven where it is easy to see and access.

The screw for the battery door is too small to catch, and therefore the battery door doesn't stay on. Which means the device will randomly turn off. Really upset that first I had to buy a speciality screw driver to attempt to screw the door in and then it didn't even work. Basically the device is useless to me.

Terrible manual. Absolutely worthless. My temperature reading states HHH. Have no idea what that means. Didn't work right out of the box

This is a good thermometer it works great, unfortunatley the piece that holds the battery in will not stay screwed in. It would have received 5 stars if not for this issue.

I received this cooking thermometer with a discount for an unbiased opinion. I also received another Thermometer from the same sellers and love that one. But we're interested in this one for now. It is cumbersome to use as well as store. It took me awhile to figure how to set it and then the timer never worked. I couldn't figure out how to use it while the meat (or whatever else) was trying to cook. I finally used it on my George Forman which made it possible for me to try it out. I hate giving bad reviews but we need to know what to buy and what not to. Bottom line I wouldn't recommend this unless you're the type of person who likes to take things apart and figure out how they work. so sorry.

Good product, great price. Not instant reading but fast enough. I especially like the long cord which allows you to measure the temperature while keeping your hand and the unit away from the hot item.
