Worst Milkshake Mixer Ever!
My husband's mom used to make him malts when he was little and I thought this would be a great gift for him. It is very nice and looks like the original from past. First while putting the cup into place it is tricky as I feel if I push it to hard the plastic little parts holding it will break, but if I don't then the machine wont turn on. Next I put in soft ice cream with my milk and vanilla. It was a recipe in the manual. The wand could hardly mix the ingredients together. In fact I used a spoon to whip it together at the end as I felt the machine was getting a little too warm from trying to mix the ingredient's. I can't imagine if i had used hard ice cream. It wouldn't of been able to make the malt. I would never gift this item or recommend it to anyone!

Good product for price
It works but it is rather loud and it sometimes needs to be stirred during blending because it spreads ice cream to the sides of cup and not the center. For the price it works pretty good and it’s a cute fun color.

Doesn't beat my new bug zapper, but it's close.
When I opened this, I thought it seemed too light and small to be effective but I was wrong. As long as you soften the ice cream a bit before you make your shakes, this works really well. You can also wiggle the cup while it's mixing, if you think the ice cream isn't completely mixed in. My bug zapper is my favorite purchase in a long time, but this is a really close second. I have also gained a new found popularity amongst the pack of hungry locusts I sometimes will admit I gave birth to, so there's that, as well. Buy this if you like milkshakes but loathe leaving your house. Also buy the square tub of vanilla ice cream sold by Amazon's arch nemesis, the yellow happy face place- you're going to go broke buying the normal size ice cream AND it's actually really creamy and flavorful. If you have locusts like me, you're gonna need the tub. I'd also advise that you keep this a secret from the outside world around you (relatives, neighbors, etc) because if you don't (like I didn't), people you can barely tolerate will start being friendly. (Hope the reference of said arch nemesis doesn't prevent this from posting).

Can’t add cookies, chocolate etc. Only syrup.
I returned it because even thought it’s super cute on a countertop, it’s kind of poor at making milkshakes. You will only be able to make shakes where you add syrup only to ice cream and milk or just ice cream and milk if you skip the syrup. You won’t be able to crush any cookies, m&m’s chocolates, graham crackers and things like that. It can’t seem to crush these items even when I did pre-crushing to make cookies a lot smaller (which you should be doing anyway for any ice cream machine). It sent all the cookie bits to the bottom of the cup and didn’t crush them and make them smaller at all. So you end up with a milkshake with cookie pieces at the bottom of the cup that have not been blended into the milkshake at all and have not been reduced in size and finely milled into the milkshake at all. I used to work in a restaurant where we made milkshakes all day long, it was what we were famous for. So I know my milkshakes. The machine we had looked similar but was clearly far more expensive and could chop anything while it spun. This milkshakes spinner can’t chop anything and you can see and notice easily as to how poor its quality is. I would spend more money on a better machine if you love making milkshakes. If you don’t care about having cookies like Oreos for example mixed into your milkshake and are fine with making milkshakes using ice cream and some chocolate syrup or caramel etc., then this will do fine for you, plus if aren’t going to make milkshakes often as well, then this one makes sense for you too.
