Funny Party Hats Pith Hat – Safari Hats Helmet – Adult Costume Hats – French Pith Hat Beige

I used it daily to play pickleball. I live in Palm Springs where is sunny all year round. This hat protects me from sun very well and it doesn't get sweaty like a soft fabric hat would. Only thing I modified on it, was adding a leather chin strap. If you don't mind looking like "Dora Explorer", you will love this hat!

This hat was a great costume piece for a summer camp program I was running. High-quality materials, and adjustable for a comfortable fit. The padded inside headband made it easy to wear for a couple hours at a time and despite getting dirty was fairly easy to clean. Much better made than the hat I bought last year,Far more durable, in fact I should be able to get quite a few years of use out of this

I thought this would be cheaply made, but to the contrary it’s great quality and exactly what I needed for an up coming safari themed event! Adjustable fit … Velcro tabs wired great! Good buy …

My 7-yr.-old daughter wanted to be a paleontologist for Halloween and this hat perfectly completed her look. It's of great quality and I was impressed by the functionality of the adjustable strap so it fit her head. This hat would be great to wear "for real" too, though. The design really seems like it would keep the heat off your head. I just may borrow it next summer ... No wonder pith helmets are the stereotypical look for researchers out in the sun for hours in the field!

Nice hat for costume use. It is not as thin or flimsy as ones I saw at the party store, but it is also not hard enough to serve as actual head protection. Headband inside is comortable, and the hat itself is pretty light. Doesn't seem like it would be terribly durable though.

I use this in my discord broadcasts, as Xanos. Between this, my shirts, and the guns, everyone thinks I'm either the founder of Jurassic Park (The fedora matches the pith helmet), or the hunter from Jumanji. Always good for some laughs. Guns are purchased separately. It's comfortable, adjustable headband, even a chinstrap (nobody ever uses those, but they look good). Great ventilation out on the Serengeti, the Velde, or an ancient dig outside of Cairo. I could recommend some good tactical shirts to go with it, short sleeve, of course. It performs best in arid climates, it's not actually waterproof. Either your head breathes, or it gets wet, pick one. Dries fast though.

Went to a safari themed party and this was great, much higher quality than you expect from a costume piece. Might actually use this while working out in the yard.

Lightweight and sturdy. Works like a charm for my daily health walk here in the Phoenix summer sun. I have a large head and this fits fine with room to spare (a little) i'm a 7- 3/4 in most fitted hats/caps. (This same exact hat is offered by other company's for much more money). Not straw, but some paper base material coated with a hard finish. It keeps the sun at bay, as a good solar helmet should do, and lets your head stay cooler than I expected. Yes it looks like a safari helmet. So I wear my Stetson hat when out and about and not health walking. Otherwise people are expecting me to say "Dr. Livingston I presume?" Great for a walk, but not for working in the sun. Not enough of a brim for shade in an intense Arizona sun..

I bought this and wear it outdoors. If it is hot, I dunk it in water to cool off. Great purchase.

Pros: - Looks great, you are ready for a safari hunt. - Good airflow. Cons: - Unusable chin strap, purely cosmetic. - Headband is useless, the limited velcro adjustment is still way too big at its narrowest setting. - No cushion or padding, your skull rest on the helmet itself and it hurts if you wear it longer than an hour.

The helmet itself is a decent bit of costume for the price. However, the way it was packed for shipping was awful. It was just thrown in a box barely big enough with no padding or protection of any kind and sent. By the time it got to me, the box was mangled and ripped, and the hat was half crushed. Fortunately, the hat is fairly tough and somewhat flexible, so I was able to un-crush it. Others may not be so lucky.
