I have never used Posca brand Paint marker pens, but have used other brands. The Posca pens are easier to use, very smooth paint lines and the colors are solid. This particular box comes with 8 different colors! When we ordered these we thought they were smaller then the actual size so that was a nice surprise! We purchased these as we build surfboards and they help with pin lines but now that these work so nicely I will be using them to hopefully color an entire board! Pretty stoked about it! We are extremely happy with this product and would recommend the Posca pens over other Paint marker pens on the market especially if you want a nice clean look. My only bummer is these are not English speaking friendly, as I can’t understand anything on the box! Haha But they are very user friendly so it wouldn’t stop me from buying again! The shipping on these pens was extremely fast and they were packaged in a nice size package and protected well! The price was right as we shopped around! You definitely get what you pay for! We tried the cheap ones previously and they were a mess! I’d give this seller 5 stars any day! Thank you again for a great product! We were looking for car markers to decorate my son's car for his COVID-19 drive-up graduation. Everywhere around town was sold out, so I ordered these hoping they would work. Our car was the coolest of all! These markers go on opaque so you don't have to go over it to make your artwork more visible, and the color is super-saturated and rich. It's also easy to edit your artwork by dabbing with a damp cloth, but this stays on through the rain! In fact, it looked as vibrant after two weeks as it did the day we decorated. I used windex and paper towels to remove. The colors are gorgeous...just wish there was a purple one!

When they call these markers "bold" they mean BOLD! Like Goldilocks, I have tried two sizes (of Posca Paint Markers) and found them not what I was looking for. The "fine" size have tips that are smaller than (for a common point of reference) the Sharpie "fine" point (the typical Sharpie we all know and love). These "bold" one each have a wedge tip which is similar in size to what used to be known as "magic markers", which makes them great for filling in large areas of color. The plastic tube is chunky--about an inch in diameter--unlike any other marker I have ever used. Now, for the paint itself...it is opaque and bright and, once dry, similar in feel to poster paints or gouache. If you want to layer colors or lay down two colors side-by-side, you need to let the paint dry, which happens fairly quickly, but not instantly like a solvent-based marker. They're great for layering over other media, like solvent markers, watercolors and collaged bits. I've read they're good for other surfaces, though the only other surface I've tried them on is printmaking paper. (Not a success: the big wedge tip abraded the soft surface of the print paper, leaving a trail of little colored rolls.) They make a good addition to my marker collection, doing something (laying down opaque marks over other colors) that the others can't do. I will most likely buy the medium size, finding them just right. EDIT: I did buy the medium markers and they are just right--similar in size to the aforementioned Sharpie.

Little did I realize that the chisel tip on paint pens would be so difficult to find. Lots of product out there but not exactly what I wanted. Bright, vivid colors, assorted variety, quality paint, and the elusive chisel tip. I found all of these things with this great paint pen set. Nice dense lines. Dries almost instantly. Works on all sorts of materials and projects. I especially liked that this set provides a white and a black pen in addition to the colors so I didn't need to purchase black and white pens separately.
