I took a gamble on the cheaper ones from Amazon that were compatible with the Arlo ultra 2 cameras and got burned. I’ve had two of the Arlo brand outdoor chargers already and they are still holding up after 6 years! I expanded my security cameras and needed more outdoor magnetic chargers. Well needless to say, the cheaper versions did not hold up straight out of the package! The magnets that magnetize to the cameras came out after a test fit!! The connecting wiring was cheap and a lot thinner than the Arlo brand charger and was already coming apart. I sent them back immediately and purchased the Arlo brand chargers. I’m glad I went back to the Arlo brand outdoor chargers! They fit well and I don’t have to worry about them falling apart! They work as they were intended and very easy to use. I use the batteries that came with the cameras as well as the outdoor by charger in case they were to get unplugged they will still work with the battery. I definitely recommend the Arlo brand outdoor chargers. They cost more but the peace of mind is well worth it!

I wanted a floodlight security camera for the dark area at the top of my driveway by the back door of my home. The Arlo Pro 3 Floodlight has been such a great choice! I charged it up out of the box and hung it up on the garage with very little trouble. I also bought the magnetic cable and drilled a small hole in the side of my garage and ran the cable inside to an outlet - I will never have to charge it up or change batteries, which is great for ease of use and peace of mind. You do need a subscription for some of the features, but it's worth it. You're huying these cameras for a reason, so don't be cheap. I am able to define activity zones that exclude the street. I have two on this camera, one that includes the driveway, and one that includes the area around the back door. The light is very, very bright, and the clarity of the night vision is truly excellent. There is a siren I've yet to activate, and you can speak to folks through the camera. I did ask the FedEx driver the other day to put the package on the steps instead of on the ground. :) I have set the floodlight to be on long enough for me to get into the house. This is a great piece of equipment and the cost of the subscription is hardly prohibitive. I fully recommend!

Does what I need it to do, it’s not clear in the description but this cable is permanently attached to a plug in power supply. I thought it was just a USB cable, so just be aware if you’re in a situation where a plug in power supply won’t fit (it’s about 2x2x2 inch cube).

Absolutely terrible customer service. Spent well over $1,000 on cameras, flood light, doorbell, solar panels, charging cables, and base station and the cameras take forever to buffer and the base station decided to stop working after being fine for over a year. 2 replacement base stations were sent out and neither work. Cancelling service and moving to a company that has products that work and customer support. Don’t waste your money on Arlo.

I bought a knock off that claimed to work with Arlo Ultima 2 camera and was advertised as indoor/outdoor cable. HATED IT! Immediately bought Arlo indoor / outddoor cable, and suprisingly the black cable was 50% off that day. It arrived before expected, and I attached to the camera right then. I checked the Arlo app and the cable was charging the camera!!!! Success!!! Great product line from Arlo! We do feel secure in Chicago with these Arlo cameras.

Don’t waste your money on fake cable’s for your Arlo cameras. This is the real thing and works perfectly. I purchased other cables but they only last about a year. This is the second cable that’s Arlo certified and the first one still works. The Arlo certified is 3 years old now and works as new.

I've ordered a few of these... and have also tried the cheaper knock-offs. The bottom line is that they are ALL undependable, but that the Arlo cables, more than twice the price of the knock-offs, last longer. But that isn't saying much. They usually start to fail within the first year... and totally fail shortly after that (and I don't live in a harsh climate... I live in Southern California, so we never see snow, but we do have heat). So figure you're spending looking at spending $50-a-year just to power your cameras. I also wish that they'd provide a power cable longer than the itsy bitsy ones that come with the camera, but not as long as these. They need a range of sizes...and cables that are FAR more durable and dependable.

Bought for an Arlo Pro 3 Floodlight Camera. After doing some research, decided on going with an Arlo magnetic charging chord. I could not be happier! Works great, the amount of length is so nice to have, and now no worries about a drained battery. Also love that this chord came in black, as not all homes are white, I find that this colour blends in with the home much better.

At 83 dollars and billed as an outdoor charging cable, the quality of this required (but not included) "accessory" to the Arlo floodlight is so poor that it would border on fraudulent in a warm climate. Forget about a mild Canadian winter. The stink of it is this camera requires this and only this cable to run at its advertised specs, forget 3rd party cables at pennies on the dollar. No, it has to be this 83 dollar cable because it's a special cable. Well, it's not special, and it shouldn't be billed as "ready for winter" or even as weather resistant. In fact, the cable is nothing more than two pube-thin wires under sheathing about as thick as a novelty condom. They both snapped at the first sign of a chilly night and have left the head to flop around limp and lifeless, like a flaccid dong after a polar bear dip. The magical proprietary copper connectors and ohh so special proprietary magnet have rusted to uselessness over the course of 1 very short winter. Try to get somebody from customer support to speak to about this, and you get the runaround. 1 out of 10, definitely would not f again.
