This front-and-rear looking dash cam (two cameras, one electronic "brain") is a great idea and this unit offers a wide array of features.I am going to give this item a lot of praise for concept and function. However, I will quickly note that the first unit I received did not always correctly retain the memory card. When I mentioned that in my review iTrue contacted me within hours and offered a replacement. Very impressive customer service, and I upgraded my review to 5 stars.GENERAL IMPRESSIONS:The unit is a little bit delicate (for example, you should take it out of your car in the summer when not driving, as it could be heat damaged). But It removes in less than 5 seconds and fits in a jacket pocket or purse (it is about the size of a pack of cigarettes, but is a slightly different shape). Buyers should be aware that this unit takes some TLC, which is to be expected of any high-resolution video camera with lots of features.AMAZING ELECTRONICSThe electronic features are really almost too impressive to list them all here, but it records amazing video and decent sound, and time/date/GPS/license plate stamps your recording to verify any incident that might happen. The video is highly adjustable (adjustable plus and minus f-stops, ISO, dynamic range, resolution, and much more). In addition, night driving is very well-recorded, as the camera is extremely light-sensitive and automatically adjusts continually to lighting conditions. You will need to consult - at least briefly - the user manual to see what kind of settings you want to use. It is not quite "plug-and play" because there are a few required choices about settings that must be made. It think that is a good thing, as it optimizes the device relative to how you would personally use it.OTHER THINGS A BUYER SHOULD KNOWWiring it into your car can be time-consuming because both front and rear cameras need careful wiring placement - but that is to be expected because you are installing two separate-but-synchronized video cameras (front and rear). I needed to purchase about 30 plastic zip ties and 25 self-adhesive zip-tie anchors to get the job done. The excellent concept here is that the cameras are mounted up at the very top of your front and rear windshields. This in turn necessitates that the wiring be run along the side and top edges of the windshields front and rear. Although the wiring takes longer, the video taken from this angle is notably superior to dash-board mounted video - and it is also the reason the unit is hard to see from outside your vehicle, which is nice.

The camera is great. Picture quality is really impressive and it works perfectly. I chose to install it with the hardware kit, not difficult at all just need some extra stuff like fuse tap and such. The reason I docked it 2 stars is because 1, it doesn’t work with a Jeep Wrangler because the camera does not tilt high enough to see the road in front. The picture I posted shows that all you can see is the hood so it really does me no good. The second star I docked was because I reached out to the sell more than once and still have not received a response. It’s been over a week.Edit: The seller got in touch with me and sent out a universal suction cup mount. It’s not as nice and flush as the original but it does get the job done.Edit 2: This dash cam stopped working after about a year.

I believe this is the best camera package on the market. I have the forward and rear cameras. Installation was very easy. Installation even surprised me as how easy it was. I have 2017 Ridgeline RTL-E. I chose mounting the camera eye in the center to the left of the of the original photo eye and just below the black dots on the windshield. The headliner was very easy to pull down the edges. Routing the power supply was just as easy. I pulled back the hard plastic and inserted the wiring. Then I pull the rubber trim edges back. The little tool that was shipped with the camera made things easy. I continued routing the power supply over to the center console. Since I am not a smoker. I chose the harness plugs into the cigar lighter. I looked at using the hard wiring to the fuse box. This was more then what I wanted to do. So using the the cigar lighter socket was the best chose. It also allows me me to just unplug the the power supply. The setup / formatting took al little longer. The instructions are good but I was having little trouble following. I also bought the 64 GB SanDisk. When the red dot is flashing it is recording. So once it stops you need to delete the stored data or store on your computer. Just follow instructions for deleting memory card. Just remember to add your license plate number and date with the year. So if you are ever involved in an accident your records will be true.

Bought this camera in July 2017 and had been working great for a couple of months until the rear camera stopped receiving video. Currently have not been able to find a fix for this besides buying another dual camera setup.Otherwise, the front main camera has worked well. I have not had any issues with setup or failure to record. Video clarity is excellent, clear and detailed.Edit: Got in contact with seller and they were able to help me order another camera set at a very nice discount. Seller was prompt and direct with assistance. Review remains above for clarity on edit, but prior to the rear camera failure this unit worked very well consistently.Edit: 2019, main camera has started to malfunction and will not record now.

Its a good product: good quality, nice resolution, both front and back camera, and auto looping. The only thing that i dont like about the product is that the tape, sticking on to your windshield, you will have remove when you go parking and time to time, it will lose its stickiness. Overall its good.

I would give this camera 4.5 stars if I could, because this little camera is amazing. The only downfall is that I live in Calgary, AB, and with our cold winters, I was forced to bring it inside to keep it warm once in a while if I were to leave my vehicle out in the cold for extended periods of time, otherwise I would have given this camera a solid 5 stars. I don't think it is recommended to expose this camera to anything far below -10*C for extended periods of time, which is a bit of a downfall for people like me who live in colder climates. On the upside, it has superb image quality and the rear facing camera can also be used to face you and your passengers if you tape it to the bottom of the front facing cam - as shown in the picture I posted. This is very useful for Uber drivers, as I feel very safe having this safety feature in my vehicle. Last, but certainly not least, ITrue probably has the best customer service I have ever experienced - they will absolutely go above and beyond for you!I would definitely first and foremost recommend this dash cam for anyone looking for a good reliable and versatile dash cam for their personal or commercial vehicle.
