15 ML (0.5 FL OZ) Premium Menthol Crystals 100% Pure Organic and Natural in Glass Jar

Decided to buy in a jar after the crystals I bought in plastic bags turned into a solid block.Works for my tiger balm copy cat RX.

I bought this to make my own menthol lozenges, but I also found that it works amazingly to repel ants, roaches, fruit gnats, etc. I tossed a few crystals in the back of the kitchen cabinets, and in a week, the ants and roaches were gone. I would buy it again, except that 4oz will last a very long time...!

So after $8000 damage to a car's wiring due to the freakish incorporation of plant based automotive wiring insulation. (Mice, rates and squirrels, even dogs love to eat it but ignore most of the petroleum based insulation.) I've put in electronic and scent based rodent repellers under the hood. My family member dislikes mothballs so I only use them on tractors and other farm equipment. Besides, the old mothballs are more flammable and the newer ones are more irritating to humans.These Menthol crystals are part of the mix to repel rodents and they are the easiest part to put in. I have recycled some metal scent based rodent repellers, the kind with a screw on lid, a permeable membrane under the lid, holes in the lid and a fiber pad to soak up the oil inside. The mix is mostly peppermint oil, some cinnamon oil, some wintergreen oil and a few menthol crystals. These have to be refreshed every week but are worth it. Best to keep them in a cooler spot instead of on the top of the axle or engine block.One can go overboard with the electronic repellers. We have two of them plus the scent based one in the car which received the damage last year. One in the other car. But they do help keep the little ones away. I don't recommend mouse nor rat bait under the hoods, because they will eat it and set up camp eating everything in sight until they finally die. Mouse traps are a problem too, due to the heat under the hood.

A pound of excellent menthol crystals at a very reasonable price. They last a long time in my oil heaters and the fragrance is as good as it gets. I add water to the "wax melters" to help accelerate the spread of the vapors. Also good for shrinking nasal passages. I will definitely purchase more when I get low on this.

I ordered this based of the good reviews but product has a very faint menthol chemical smell. Plastic lid not sealed.
