Excellent Knife for the price! The knife is better quality than the one pictured and has a nice black macarta handle unlike the wooden handle pictured, it had some minor surface oxidation that wiped off easily with a napkin. The sheath is excellent quality heavily oiled with a nice leather oil and stitching is good as well. I will be purchasing another one. Thank you

It doesn't let you choose right or left handed draw, and this is the 2nd of 3 I've bought that have left handed draw. So now I have two of these with useless sheaths. The knives themselves are flawless and glorious. Tough. I've been getting them for immediate family for camping and hiking, and everyone loves them. These are, without a doubt, the best wilderness tools on the market. I just wish you could choose what side draw you want.I did work on my one good, right handed draw sheath too. I moved the securing strap closer to the body by half an inch and it holds the knife more securely. I just cut the excess off. It's a waste and gets in the way. I added a pic so you see what I mean.

Excellent Damascus for bushcraft. Note to customers who want to purchase. High carbon steel requires maintenance...it will rust if not cared for; however, it is razor sharp if cared for properly and can start a fire if needed. I use a quartz rock on the spine to create sparks by hitting it. Hit the sparks into cotton or a highly flammable source. This knife is also awesome for striking a ferro rod. I keep gun oil in my purse to keep all of my Damascus knives oiled after use. Hope this review helps!

Bought 2 of these for our hiking and hunting packs. These knives are solid!! They are survival knives, and they were under $50.00 each. So many complaints on here about not gift quality or cheap sheath. sheath leather is a little thin, but strong and more than durable (and yes both were left handed). If your looking for a wedding gift quality then bust out a few more hundred and see what you can find. If you are looking for a great knife for hunting or packing in a ruck sac then this one is it!

The knife I received is not at all as pictured. The tang came secured via 4 screws that were half hazardly placed and different depth in the handle. The tang protruded past the handle itself and the grip was nowhere near as pictured. The sheath was extremely low quality amd did not feature the horizontal belt loops pictured. The sheath was also very light in color and not the dark hide that was pictured. Very disapointed.

One thing that really bugged me was the kink on the blade and that the blade did not come that sharp out the box almost dull

This knife is absolutely awesome. I'm confused on any complaints. If they want a perfect knife go spend over a hundred bucks. My knife is perfect and for the price you can't go wrong.
