Aside from having an aluminum layer, plus a woven insulated layer, the other thing I like about this tape is that it's extremely tenacious when sticking to itself. The adhesive grabs onto the back of this tape extremely well and it's nearly impossible to peel it off after it sets. So if you use this to wrap something, it's more or less a permanent install unless you cut it off with a knife.

Used for fireproofing combat robots against a flamethrower....no kidding. It held up great and the adhesive does not appear to be flammable. 13/10 would recommend if you want to reflect heat. Probably is great at its intended purpose as well.

Used this on my 1998 Polaris Sportsman 500 4x4 air box assembly to prevent heat from exhaust pipe to heat up and deform or melt or make my air box brittle. Seems to hold up pretty well and reflective heat like it should. Easy to cut to size and length and well worth the money.

Love this heat reflecting tape, not as durable as DEI but it does the job so found about the fiberglass, but the quality thickness works well. Best tape quality. I would say it’s good value for the money and easy of use stickiness is good. The photo below is my AEM cold Air Intake with your guy’s product and I can’t wait until next summer to Datalog the air intake temperature on my Tunerveiw app on my iPhone wish I could let you know how it went .

Covered a clutch line with this in a 2006 350z, super easy to use, the quality works well paired against my very hot test pipes, durability seems okay I’ll have to update soon, and it’s extremely sticky so be careful.

NOT "Heat resistant to 500°c." 25+ year HVAC technician had me order this to tape up newly installed wood burning stove pipe. It started melting and running down the stove pipe. Before even reaching 190.4 °F. House filled with smoke from the melting tape which put off fumes that smelt and looked toxic. Made it difficult for breathing. I would not recommend this tape for any applications.

This tape was shown to be used for wrapping pipes and engine tubes to make them stand out. I used pinstriping material and gold paint before to decorate my Harley and it faded quick. This stuff is sticking and not fading in the heat or sunlight...so far. I'm using it to make some old, dull features on my Harley pop out visually. It cuts easily. I created feathers with an exacto knife and overlapped them to LOOK like feathers (my bike has an eagle motif). Aluminum tape is effective, too (got tired of dealing with rust spots on the shell). (The beak is made of LockTight glue formed and carved into shape, then stuck on.) I had a LOT of tape left over.

Works great at deflection of radiant heat. I used this on my Turbo D16Z6 92-95 civic and it only took 1 roll and an 1/8th of the 2nd roll. I did do datalog testing and it dropped the intake temps significantly! It definitely works if used as directed. Clean surface area with rubbing alcohol and cut it in long strips around the bends for a cleaner look. I attached pictures. Hope it helps!

The adhesive can not hold under the temperature. The products is not what it says to be.
