Itazura Coin Bank (Brown Kitty)

I just received the brown kitty one. I've only tested it once or twice before putting it back in the box to be gifted.-The mechanical sound wasn't as noisy as some reviews had me believe. It's there but not as noisy as my coffee maker for instance.-The kitty looks like it's made of smooth shiny plastic to me from the picture but it's actually more like plastic velvet.-The brown kitty is yellow (like the pic) with brown stripes-My only problem is with the meow sound. It's rather high pitch and also hard to hear. At first I thought it sounded like a bird-Base on some reviews, I'm guessing the sensor is suppose to be able to sense the coin without having you pressing down, but with mine, I definitely have to press down for the kitty to come out.-It doesn't come with batteries. It takes 2 AAs and there is a small screw you need to unscrew to open the battery compartment. I used the screw driver from my eye glass repair kit to open the case. Very easy if you have the right tool.-The coins can be remove through a separate opening on the bottom. You would need a coin to unlock/unscrew it. Getting the coins out does involved tilting and shaking the bank quit a bit. Awkward. Can be a bit hard for a small child to get the coins out (without breaking it that is)-I ordered mine from RelexBeauty. No complaints there.Overall very cute. Love it and I'm sure the little girl receiving this will love it too.

This is awesome and exactly as described. Here's the deal, I bought this as a cat toy and my cat has this love/hate relationship with it that is totally beneficial to me. Let me explain: while I love this piggy bank for myself (and it would make a GREAT kid's gift), my cat is extremely curious about the kitten in the box, and is also a little jealous of it!Turns out this is GREAT news for my cat's mommy (me); my cat becomes extremely territorial when she hears the meows of the kitten in the box, and comes to nuzzle me and my boyfriend gently and lovingly, as to win our affection and mark us with her scent at the same time. A perfect toy and a perfect ploy.Great as a piggy bank? CheckGreat as a people toy? CheckGreat as a cat toy? Check!My boyfriend now wants one for his mom, it's that cute/great. I highly recommend.

My son saw a video for one of these banks on Youtube, and asked (begged) me for one. Reluctantly, I purchased him one off of Amazon. My son sat by the door anxiously awaiting the mailman every day until it came (fast shipping by the way!). When it came, he tore open the packaged, opened it up, put batteries in it, put a penny on the surface and..........The cutest little kitty meowed, peeked out of the top of the box, stuck it's paw out, and took the penny.This might just be the cutest bank in cute bank history. If you are a cat lover, or just a lover of anything adorable, you must own this!!!!

Cute little bank for my friend, watching the cat pop up and take the money is amusing for a while and then any time after that. It even says something when grabbing the coins.

Bought this 2 years ago and my cat instantly loved it. She plays with it almost daily to the point where she wore it out. New batteries didn't help so I'm buying another one. I bought a different one from another seller but the button is A LOT tougher and my cat can't make it work on her own which she has tried numerous times. She always goes back to this original one but the cat no longer pops up any more. My cat loves this toy and I love that she's amused by it.

Takes two AA batteries, the cats all fear it, the baby is amazed by it and the crazy cat lady in me is absolutely in love with it! It takes the coins into the box, and there is a plastic plug in the bottom, twist and it will come out and all your coins come through. do not give it half dollars, but gold dollars, quarters and smaller are safe, they can come back through the hole in the bottom no problem and you don't have to worry about them getting stuck.

I saw this all over facebook and decided as a cat lover that I needed to have it. The whole family has enjoyed putting their coins on top and watching kitty come out and grab it. We tried to get our cats involved but the sound frightens them off (scaredy cats)!! The only complaint is that it doesnt take dimes very well.

This was a Christmas gift for my son from his Amazon Wish List, and since the current ratings were fairly high, I had high expectations. The good news is my son loved it. Unfortunately, when we put a coin on the “fishy food bowl” the little kitty paw would not always take it. Pennies, nickels and dimes would not work. However, the occasional quarter appeared to do the trick, and oddly enough, a dollar bill triggered the paw as well. This is one selective kitty. I offered to return or write for an exchange but my son opted to keep the bank, and we compromised on the rating.

so far so good, this thing seems to work. I'm holding my breath thought since other items ordered from Japan on amazon.ca broke within hours.

Works well. Cute cat that meows.

Correspond aux attentes, par contre cela fait beaucoup de bruit (ce qui est tout à fait normal)je trouve que c'était un peu cher pour ce que c'est, mais c'est abordable si on veut une tirelire originale!attention à ne pas bourrer la tirelire de pièces car le mécanisme peut se casser.
