Great polyester strings
I normally hit flat. It was recommended to me to play with polyester strings. Polyester strings are normally hard on the arm. Gratefully, Solinco has a soft version of polyester strings. These strings last and you get good amount of spin. I am using the 18g and after a month of playing 4 days a week they still have not broke. That is unheard of, 18g, to last that long. Almost no one uses that thin a string and I see my game going up another level because it is easier for me to generate spin.

Well balanced
Arm friendly and retain tension.

Good string but not for me...
This is a very lively sting that added power to my groundstrokes so if you are looking for added pop to your shots then this string might be what you are looking for. I want my basic ground stroke to land at the service line and this string had my basic ground stroke landing at the baseline and that is too much added power for me. These strings do provide descent spin but the added power gives the spin much less time to take effect and make the ball dip back down into the court. They do have a slippery enough coating on them that they do snap back into place after any given shot so that is a good thing and they could easily be used in a hybrid setup with a "stickier" sting as the strings would slide back into place.

The spin is definitely incredible with all the Solinco strings ...
The spin is definitely incredible with all the Solinco strings ... My issue right now is durability... So far I'm not getting amount of play I thought I should from a poly, but I'm tweaking some hybrid combos and the obvious extra spin I get is something I'm not ready to give up so hopefully I can figure out a way to get more wear out of them !UPDATE: I honestly don't know when the review posted that I wrote above....Since that time over two years now I've been hitting with a combo Tour Bite Soft on mains and Hyper G on crosses...I hit with a tremendous amount of top spin and I haven't seen a string that creates as much spin as Solinco...Just look at the string and see the different shape. It's not a round string like others and put simply it's a matter of physics...less friction string on string means more movement which means more spin......As to the durability I was concerned with a couple years ago, that was corrected by me going to the thicker gauge......It completely enhanced my durability tremendously and I hit the ball pretty hard. I understand everyone is different when it comes to preference but for me I have found that 16L TB soft on main with Hyper G 17G on cross is perfect! One other note to anyone who is transitioning to poly or who thinks they are too stiff......Whatever tension you typically use, I suggest going down aprox 5 lbs initially and see how it feels....I did initially and it made a big difference on feel but also affected the durability until I tweaked it...….If you hit a lot of topspin, you will fall in love with these strings!

Great at first, terrible retention.
Absolutely amazing string for one set. After that they become a rocket launcher. Too expensive to restring every week, so looking elsewhere.

Arm friendly poly
This string actually does play soft for a poly. I have a bunch of hours played with it now and no arm issues. I used to play with lux Alu and would get some soreness after long matches. Not the case with these strings. Spin potential is nutty with this string. Lots of easy spin if you put a full swing on the ball. Will buy again.

Soft and durable..
I've been using the Solinco Tour Bite soft string in 18 gauge ever since I had tennis elbow, and had never had a repeat elbow problem since. The string is durable enough to last a couple of months while playing 4-5 times a week.
