I love this press. Makes a perfect cup of coffee w/o the bitterness. Easily makes 2 large cups or 3 medium cups of coffee/ tea. Easy to clean pot. My only issue is with the grounds getting stuck in btwn the mesh filter and metal piece it's fastened to. I find myself dunking it in a bowl of water to loosen the bits stuck in there, after every use. And then there is that tiny, loose piece of metal, rolling around for eternity, forever stuck within the cavity of the pot. Like one other reviewer said, it is quite maddening.UPDATE: The mesh filter CAN be unscrewed from the metal piece making cleaning easy. This is a perfect French press.

This is a great metal coffee press that we have been using for months after giving up on using the breakable glass version. I washed and seasoned by leaving coffee in it all day and then starting using it just fine. The plunger strainer is hard to unscrew for cleaning out of the box....i used a pair of pliers over a cloth to hold the rod and turned the strainer part to loosen the first time and now it is easy to do by hand. If you want an insulated one that holds temperature for hrs you will have to shell out a lot more money...this may stay hot an hr depending on the surface its resting on. This is great quality at a great price!

After several coffee pots broke and a few glass French presses met the dust, our daughter asked for a stainless steel French press. This is the one we gifted to her. Great price, good size, and durability of the stainless steel brought us to choosing this one. She loves it!

I like it, I do. It keeps coffee warmer than my old glass press. It gives a magnificent pour. Easy to clean. Quality.......it's good, not great. Out of the box there was significant wear on the bottom edges. It has a small piece of metal inside the double walled compartment. Every time I move it, pour a cup, I hear this little piece of metal rattling around. Forever trapped in void. It's quite maddening.

Frustrated with this product as it was sold with a stray piece of metal in between the stainless layers that cannot be removed. I had read earlier reviews which said theirs' also came with this defect that causes an annoying jingling when the unit is tilted. It makes me wonder if the company purposely sells the defective ones here so people can't notice until after they have received it.

I bought this after my glass beaker broke on the Bodum French Press that I've had for 5 years. I generally like the product and I love that the coffee stays warm! I also like that I don't have to worry about glass breaking. However, there are 2 issues that bother me; one is that when you push the plunger down the canister, the metal on metal is like nails on a chalkboard. The other is that I can't seem to find a way to unscrew the bottom part of the plunger so coffee grounds get stuck between the screen and metal pieces (my Bodum came apart so that you could wash everything well).

I like this one very much. I have another at work and that one leaks sometimes and the strainer thing makes a vacuum and shoots up a volcano of coffee grounds. I like my coffee black like the night and strong. And I mean strong. This French press can handle it. Cleans up great. Looks shiny, but something rattled in between the insulated layers. That’s the rattle of fantastic stay hot forever coffee you’re about to have!

After months of research into various types of coffee makers, including electric drip, thermal and percolator, I decided to go with a French Press. I wanted something durable that makes rich, flavorful coffee. I'm very pleased with the Rhino. It's easy to use, makes flavorful coffee and pours without dripping. Although I don't preheat the pot with hot water before preparing coffee, the first cup is piping hot. The fact that it has no plastic parts is a plus. I find the filter screen easy to wash by hand, but I will also put it in the dishwasher every couple of days. I estimate the yield for this pot is three 8 ounce cups.
