Works with Echo Hub
Read many reviews about others not working with the echo hub. Went with this one over the other popular one because it sat in the gang box and came with the 90 degree usb c. Happy with results.

Buyer Beware: Short-Lived Data Functionality
I purchased this device specifically to power an Amazon Echo Hub. For about 7 months, it worked exactly as expected, delivering both power and network connectivity over PoE. Unfortunately, it has now partially failed and will only supply power, with no network connection. This defeats the main purpose of the device and makes it unusable for my setup. Given the price and intended use, I expected better long-term reliability.

Echo Hub 8 intercom setup with POE
Setting up my echo hub 8 with POE and testing unit before install and all went well. The echo hub 8 recognized the wired network at bootup. The device was very snappy with the wired setup. Will be ordering more to complete our echo hub 8 intercom stations

Perfect for powering a wall tablet.
Works better than Ubiquiti. Passes through power and data to a wall mounted iPad without issue. Speed is limited but sufficient for this use case. Deducted one star for price. Electronics seem simple and houses feels cheap. No issues with heat so far after being crammed into the wall.

Perfect for Echo Hub
The version for the echo hub works well with the echo hub… shocker. This device has a strange design but it’s intended to fit in an electrical box so the design makes sense. It’s powering and supplying a wired data connection to my echo hub without issue. I like that it has two USB-C ports, Might be able to power more than one device. Only one of the USB-C ports passes data and power, the other is power only. I did try powering a few other items including my iPhone with this to see what its compatibility is. It did charge and provide data to my phone but it got a little warm. Also the listing does say this is supposed to provide 1000mbps, it’s only 100mbps. Not a problem for the echo hub, 100mbps is more than enough. Installation was too bad. Was kind of nervous about cutting a large hole in the wall but once I got over that and got the Ethernet ran trough the attic and down the wall cavity, install was a breeze. I just connected the Ethernet and USB-C cables and tucked this converter into the wall. My Echo Hub powered up and works perfectly. It’s nice having a wired data connection for the echo hub. I prefer wired where I can get a wire.

Doesn't Work
For me, my device would power up the Echo Hub and work fine for 24-48 hours, but then drop offline, never to return. The customer service at POE Texas were very nice and we tried several things to get mine to work, including sending it back to the company for testing and back. I don't know if mine had a flaw that other don't, but it got a clean bill of health when they had it to test. But at the end of the day, there was no escaping the fact that the thing couldn't hold the wired connection. I had a little tester on there and noticed that when it was offline, the resistance was double at 66 Ohms and the Watts fell to 1.2. I don't know how that figures into it though. I ended up buying the Zhen You competing device and haven't had any trouble since.

Doesn’t work as a stand alone item, I have had to purchase a PoE injector as suggested by the manufacturer which I am about to try out. I have received the AT-1-52V30W from PoE Texas and please to say it works perfectly
