Geisha Kimono Women's Satin Silk Robe - One Size - Olive

I bought this robe for myself in hopes that it would be good enough for me to purchase another one as a gift. Review as follows:PROS:1. This robe isn't so tiny that it looks like something a stripper would wear. I'm 5', this reaches mid-calf and sleeves are 3/4 length.2. Have been able to machine wash this item (twice so far) in a lingerie bag without having it shrink, roughen, or fall apart.CONS:1. It's hard to tell if this is actually silk. Despite a tag on the robe that says "SILK" (nothing about any other materials is listed on the item itself), this does not look or feel like any of the other silk items I own. In fact, this looks and feels exactly like 100% polyester satin to me.2. The print is off just a little bit, making the Geishas and flowers appear as if they were painted outside the lines of a coloring book.3. Material snags easily on everything imaginable (ironically, the snags make it look a little bit like "real" dupioni silk, but the damage will nonetheless shorten the life of the robe).4. Even when both the inside and outside ties are tied, this robe is still slippery enough to come partially untied and shift to gap open in the middle, showing all sorts of things that robes are meant to cover. Make sure you're in a kid-free zone while wearing this.BOTTOM LINE: I have given this two stars for the nice length and the imaginative and pretty design. It might work well as part of a costume. However, this has too many flaws for me to recommend as a functional robe or gift item.

I recently ordered this as I was tired of my old tired out lounge wear and wanted something a little bit more special for home movie watching. I wasn't sure what to expect. What arrived is lovely. I ordered the olive... so hard to find olive clothing... it is absolutely lovely and so silky, well it is made of silk and satin and you can't beat the price and the shipping is free. I expected a long delay since it is from Thailand but it arrived quite timely. I now want one in their other colors for all my friends. the patterns are perfectly placed and the quality is second to none. It's classy. I see that no one else has either ordered or made a comment so I'm glad that mine was the first, and yes, I know that one size doesn't always fit all, but this is roomy and it does go to the shins which is a really nice length. Go get one.

My wife liked everything about this robe except that after the second use, the inside tie pulled loose. Easy fix though. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a light weight summer robe. Works great to and from the hot tub.

I love it. I wish I could wear it 24/7.Perfect for relaxing in summer heat.
