RV Roof Vent Smoke w/ 12 Volt Fan, Putty & Screws

We replaced the brittle, yellowed and breaking Ventline bathroom fan in our 2012 Lance 1885. This new Ventline fan fit the existing roof opening perfectly and makes our bathroom ceiling look like new! Easy to install. All the existing wires plugged into the new unit. Used Dicor Self-Leveling caulk to seal the roof.

Nothing wrong with this piece. But make sure you check the height of your trim bezel. This one is Around 2" my bathroom unit was much taller so had to reuse it. I only bought this for the screen and inner bezel and top have a backup lid so it worked out ok for us. Great price so no complaints.

Great kit. Everything's included. Fan is pretty quiet and moves a good amount of air. If you replace the switch like I did it can be used as intake or exhaust. you won't find a better unit cheaper

The unit is easy to install very functional fan works great. And be mindful of the depth that you need my trailer roof is at an angle where the bathroom fan is this unit was perfectly square therefore one side of the lower panel was not tall enough to close the gap between the upper and lower part therefore I had to use the old lower part which worked fine. Just be mindful of the depth you need.

No installation instructions included, so with the help of YouTube etc, installation went okay until the last 4 holes that needed to be drilled at the back hinged part of the plexi vent. My usual 2.75" steel drill tip was way too short - the drill head bumped up against the hinge - so had to purchase a 6" long drill tip which delayed installation completion .... tried to find a way to remove the hinged vent from the outside without success ..... Used the 'putty tape' to install - when screwing down the screws, it actually bent the metal, causing the putty to squish at the screw, but remain 'high' in between the screws - the metal is very cheap and thin .... The removable plastic screen is also very flimsy. That having been said, the vent looks good from the outside and inside., and the fan works well and is relatively quiet. As I hope not to have to replace this vent again, would rather have paid a little extra and got better quality - you get what you pay for, no doubt about it.

Easy to install and comes with everything you need except for the self-leveling sealant. Depending on your camper you'll want to order a couple of tubes of that as well to make sure everything seals up properly. The smoke colored lid keeps the temperature down in the bathroom and the fan isn't overly loud and moves plenty of air.
