What is the difference between the Melvin and the Avillo? both are in relaxed fit category. thanks.

The Melvin/Milford sole is flimsy. I highly recommend Skechers Drigos, with the full length memory foam insole which is heaven. These should be listed as 3E instead of 2E: Look closely at image of bottom of black version of shoes, across from heel's S logo to see 'EEE' label. Both these and the Melvin/Milford have a thick memory foam cushion only at the heel.

I usually wear an 8 1/2 or 9 shoe. Amazon recommended an 8 1/2 but they felt a little tight but not to bad. Should I order a size 9?

I usually order an 11 but got these in a 10.5 and they fit fine. I wont wear socks with these and they'll stretch a little so order down a half size if you plan to wear them this way

I am usually and 11 2e, but i always get an 11.5 2e in running shoes. So what size shoe i get in these?

I had the same issue, usually buying an 11 wide, HOWEVER, I relied on the Scechers size guide individualized by specific shoe...it will ask you your "normal" size and will make a recommendation based on its knowledge of the construction of the shoe...as a result I bought a perfect 10 1/2 that fits and feels fine..I trusted the size feature, hope it works for you.

How well does the elastic, mid shoe, hold up? Seems like that might be a weak spot. Thanks!

I have a very similar pair of these that I have been wearing way too much. I found out that they aren’t good hiking shoes after a 12 mile hike and occasionally wear these on light days at work( I’m a mechanic). I’ve been wearing them for 4 or 5 years and the insoles are wearing out a little and the outsoles are worn down. Other than that, the shoes have no holes or even loose threads.
