Q: What is the fabric? I am allergic to wool so I need to know. Thanks.

Dont know if it wool or not, but very hard, not soft. I have not wear it yet. I like the style but i do not like the fabric :-(

Q: When closed, it is slim-fit; why do you use the word “loose” in the title?

This was purchased for my teenage son. He says that if the belt is used, it is slim fit and will be snug. I would assume the word "loose" is used, as it looks fluid when not using the belt.
