Recently I acquired a new hat without a lanyard and because it is lightweight the wind was trying to blow it off my head! This cord is the solution. I needed to use an awl to poke a hole through the tight weave of the hat to attach the cord, once I did that it was easy to attach and now I can wear my hat on windy days!There’s two cords in the package, they’re so well made I can give the second one to a friend as I know the first one will last for years to come.

I am very pleased with this hat retention. I used it to keep my straw panama style hat from flying off my head while on the de k of a cruise ship.

I bought these for my cowboy hat when I ride my golfcart. The Florida sun is very strong and I need to wear the hat during the day when I'm out on my golfcart. These are perfect! They easily fit onto my hat and keep it in place no matter how windy it gets. Easily adjustable and comfortable.

The laces are a little to heavy and long, but serve the purpose

I didn't even know they sell these! I had a sunhat but was afraid it would blow away when I was on an upcoming cruise, so I found these. And they work great! Not all hats come with straps so these are very handy! They were easy to put on and very comfortable around my chin.
