Great hair colour
Love this colour and easy to do without mess

Beautiful brown (not overly warm toned)
I have darker brown hair but the shades that are supposed to be my shade (5 or 4) make my hair look almost black. I tried this one and added a gentle hue to my hair colour, without making it warm - brilliant.

Felt great on my hair
I didn’t like the tube it takes ages getting the stuff out. Great smell & felt great in my hair. It didn’t take long to apply , I think it’s the best hair dye I’ve used & the honey conditioner is better than garnier bleach blue conditioner. I love this product. The colour is the best out of a lot of colours I’ve tried. It didn’t do as well the first time TIL I continued using it it’s got much better & even better in time. On this occasion it wasn’t the best. It’s still better than the brunette colours mocha & cool mocha. Vanilla mocha colour is much nicer so dark blonde is my best shade.

Lovely rich colour
I have never seen this shade before in the shops, but I love it. It's so close to my old natural colour, and I feel like me again. When I put the colour on, it's always a really glossy finish, and I prefer the semi permanent, as it fades gradually without getting the harsh line you get with permanent hair colours. I have been using this brand for many years and it just keeps getting better

Easy To Use, Pleasant Smell & Lovely Colour
I've been dying my hair for years and prefer to do it myself so I can do it when I want rather than waiting for hairdressers to be available (and saves a packet). The box comes with everything included – the colourant tube, the developer bottle, conditioner, gloves and instructions. I know people do what they want and ignore instructions but the effects of allergic reaction to hair dyes can be fatal – do a patch test 48 hours beforehand. Hairdressers will not dye someone's hair without first doing a patch test and the same should apply at home. The instructions have a choice of following A or B depending on whether you have natural hair or hair that has already been dyed in the last 3 months. I followed B and applied the mixture of colour and developer via the precise nozzle and massaged it into the roots area. I left it for 15 minutes, added the remainder of the colour, massaged it again all over my hair and waited a further 5 minutes. I have very long hair so I left a bit of the dye in the bottle, added a little water to make it go further, then squirted it through the whole of my hair (massaging like it was shampoo) and left it for the final 5 minutes. After giving it a thorough rinsing, I applied the provided conditioner which smells beautifully of honey. After drying my hair as usual, I had beautifully dyed hair that looked natural and non-patchy. The colour is pretty much as shown on the box and best of all – NO RED TONES. This is the same price as the hair dye I've been using for a couple of years but it is so much more pleasant to use. The fragrance is lovely, no stinging or itching, it only takes 20 minutes to develop fully and there are no red tones. It's the same price as many others on the market and this is one that I will certainly use again. It is a semi-permanent dye but lasting up to 28 shampoos is way more than the four weeks I usually dye my hair. I would definitely recommend if there is a colour match for you.

Didn't work
I left it in for long enough on my dark blonde/ light brown hair and it made absolutely no difference to the colour.

Hair feels lovely and soft!
L’ORÉAL Paris Casting Creme Gloss Semi-Permanent Hair Dye is ammonia-free and has left my hair feeling lovely and soft. It’s very easy and quick to use taking just 15 minutes for the roots and an additional 5 minutes for the complete head of hair. Just recently all the colours I’ve tried have been too dark so I tried No. 618 Vanilla Mocha which has changed my roots to a rich natural shade and more like my normal colour. I was hoping L’ORÉAL Casting was drip-free as there’s nothing worse than drips running down your face and neck while waiting for it to work its magic and I’m pleased to say that in spite of a few drips when I was initially applying it to my roots I didn’t have any problems. I’m very pleased with the natural depth of colour and the trouble-free application and I have no hesitation in buying it in the future.
