Incredible
This book was so incredible. I just finished it and my mind is blown but so excited to start the next book! Eva Chase has us rooting for the bad guy...or in this case bad girl! Action, mystery, heat, twists; I could keep going because this book has it all. It was so clever and altogether consuming. I love a powerful, brilliant, sexy, bad a$$ woman and Jemma is all that and then some. The book is incredible - a must read!I love when an author has us rooting for the "bad" person because it's so different from the norm and it's cool to see from the other side. This book has characters that we're familiar with but she still puts her own spin on them. The heroine's brilliance is jaw dropping and she's always 10 steps ahead. Very interesting throwing in the supernatural as well. This book keeps you on your toes and has everything you could want, including multiple steamy scenes. The epilogue was brilliant and now I am off to find book 2!! Both narrators were new to me but they did an excellent job fitting the characters and bringing this incredible world to life.

Fun Concept Decently Executed
[This review is for the whole series, though I think I have avoided any major spoilers. Also, I would probably rate the star-ness of the four books as: 5/4/3/3].Here's an elevator pitch for you: Suppose Sherlock Holmes and his cast wereyoung men alive today. And suppose Moriarty were a beautiful woman...The High Concept practically sells itself, and, yes I had to check it out.It works, not perfectly, but surprisingly well.Jemma Moriarty was raised in a brutal cult, which perhaps accounts for hergeneral lack of regard for conventional sexual mores and for the law.Having broken free, she has amassed a criminal empire to fund her war onthe cult, and to avenge her sister. Now, a piece of the puzzle she needs to proceed lies in London, and to getit, she is going to have to run a con on three of the city's sharpestdenizens: Sherlock Holmes, John Watson & Garret LeStrade. Not the easiesttask, but her advantages are that she is beautiful, unscrupulous, andostensibly presenting the trio with an intriguing crime to unravel. And,only she knows that they are living in an Urban Fantasy world...I think I can see some of the gears whirling in Chase's mind whensetting this up. For instance, how can she present Moriarty as anamoral criminal mastermind who has lovers all over the world andstill have us root for her? Well, hasn't that been done before? In fact, yes it has, and very well. Her name was Modesty Blaise. So why not write Jemma as Modesty? And then make Colonel Moraninto her Willie Garvin? As I said, it all works better than you might expect. There were a few timeswhen, it being 2019, a scene would start where I was thinking: "I hope she'snot going there!", but of course she was, and generally made it work.Overall, I think it would have worked better as a duology rather thandragging things out to four books, and some of the foreign settings werea bit underwritten and not fully convincing (Is it the alternate realitythat lets modern Holmes & Watson carry around revolvers in the 21st centuryUK, or just not thinking that through?) and the harem dynamics make charactersoutside the main five mostly nonexistent, but I'm not sorry I finished theseries.

Wildly imaginative fun
I love urban fantasy and paranormal tales - and Eva Chase is a true pro at these. I also enjoy an imaginative re-imagining of a classic tale, and one of my treasured hard covers at home is the complete Sherlock Holmes tales. So now we come to A Study in Seduction (Moriarty's Men Book 1), which perfectly covers all of these things in a fantastically reimagined tale where our Moriarty is a heroine, Jemma Moriarty, Sherlock Holmes, John Watson and Garret LeStrade all have major roles (in a much different way than you might expect). The world is a Holmesian one but with a paranormal / fantasy twist, and the writing is superb and wildly imaginative. I addictively poured thorough the pages of this book and an more than happy to highly recommend it.

Loved the twist on a classic
The classic Sherlock Holmes and company with a modern twist and gender switch. I loved this! It was so much fun to read. I liked how the author left us in the dark a little bit about Jemma and her past with the shrouded folk until closer to the end of the book. The whole concept of Bog and the shrouded ones is an interesting idea that I didn’t expect when I picked up the book. I am curious as to how it all plays out and to learn more details about how Jemma got tangled up with them. That ending was great too! I can’t wait to see what kind of reunion they all have now that certain things have come to light to Sherlock and his 2 side kicks about Jemma.

Holy cow
Where has Eva Chase been all my life? This is THE BEST reinterpretation of Sherlock Holmes I've ever read. I'm a writer and I am so awed by Eva's talent I can't write just now because I'm too busy reading her books. I would give this ten stars if I could!(nope, not telling you my author name but I'm not affiliated with her. I doubt she knows that I exist. I am worshipping her talent though!)

A New Twist On Holmes
I absolutely loved the new take on Sherlock Holmes. Eva had me drawn in from the very beginning. Each man is not without their own unique qualities and quirks which Moriarty handles beautifully. I loved the paranormal infusion to characters we are all familiar with in a modern day setting. The only character that I am having trouble warming up to is Lestrade. However that may change as the story continues. A great start to the series.

Moriarty's Men is Marvelous!
This book was a pure joy to read from the first page to the last! It has everything--action, betrayal, heat, humor, and a cast of clever characters. It takes a lot of careful character creation to get readers to root for both Moriarty and Holmes, but this book certainly managed to strike that balance. I've already pre-ordered the second book!

Angsty
I really like how Jemma cons the trio into doing what she needs. The part with Sherlock and John was full on angsty and I’m here for it.

Fabulous read
What a fabulous reimagining of Conan Doyle‘s characters. The story was well written and had me at the edge of my seat throughout. I cannot wait to see where the story takes me next.
