Good looking carb can't find jet kit that fits it.
Ok so I purchased this carb for a 98 blaster . When it arrived it looked exactly the same as the stock carb (exactly like it)Before I put it in I checked float height and jets . The one that came with it was way off from what mine had in it . So I went on to jets r us and ordered a complete jet kit and screws just to be on the safe side . Not one jet fit . Different threads . I called them and explained my issues and bought another set ( can't return them 1st set or second set) and still no good . I've tried searching on here and there seems to be no jet kits for this carb .I ended up using parts off it to fix my factory carb . Its a great deal but you get what you pay for . If you need a small jet (180) its fine but mine required a 270 to 290 .All in all it looks great and some of the parts are interchangeable but you need to find the exact jets that fit it.

Do not buy, stay away.
Factory main jet on this carburetor is incorrect. It comes with a #135 main jet while the factory blaster carb (2005 model) comes with a #230 main jet. You cannot swap the needle guide from your old factory carb to this one as the needle guide is too wide...which means you can’t use you old jets and good luck finding the right jets to fit this as this carburetors needle guide uses the wrong thread pattern. Total waste of time and money, especially since this is the second carb I’ve bought off Amazon with the exact same issue. Sellers really need to fully document the specs of these things (main jet, pilot jet,etc..) and link to where people can buy the right jets for this carburetor vs buying several rebuild kits and still no success. Long story short, just buy a used factory carb from eBay or a new one from a site like partzilla.

Good fit
The carb fit perfectly on my 2004 Yamaha blaster; no adjustments needed. After installing carb, my blaster runs smoothly.

Didn't work
This carburetor did not work well for my Yamaha Blaster 2000. You cannot adjust the choke on it so it just floods as it feeds too much fuel through the line.

Perfect!!!
Worked exactly as described for my 04 Yamaha Blaster!!! Was a little difficult hooking up the throttle cable, but after assembling, second kick and it was running. Had to adjust a needle valve 1/4 was it. Everything else was 100%. Didn’t have to change jets or anything!
