They work as well as the paper clips. The only draw back is that it is a little messier since you have to be careful to retrieve the filter when you dump the spent coffee...with the paper filter, you just push the coffee out with the paper and you are done. With this, you have to unscrew the cap, carefully remove the filter and try not to spill the wet grinded coffee around and then push the coffee from the holder. But then again, I'll never have to buy paper filters ever again. I read some of the reviews about the taste...for the life of me, I cannot feel any difference what so ever between this and paper filters, there is no flavor difference. The mesh in this filter is probably a bit bigger than what the paper would filter, but it is so small I can't see any significant difference in the coffee. I've used paper filters for over 3 years and this metal ones for 2 weeks now and again, no difference that I can detect.

Not actually using these for coffee but I am using them to close a hole while still allowing air to pass through, keeps the bugs out of my enclosed area while keeping airflow and preventing excess humidity.

These worked as described. I find that my coffee presses and filters out a lot faster with so I might need to adjust my grind to get the same rich flavors. That said, cleaning them is easy and I like that I am reusing something instead of throwing something into the bin.

I’ve been using my AreoPress daily for 2 years, and the mesh filters have been somewhat of a game changer. They work a much better than the paper filters when using a fine grind, as the coffee can be pushed easier through the mesh. Also, I never get coffee grinds in my coffee when using the mesh filters - something that happens frequently when using the paper ones. I still use the paper filters when camping or traveling, but when I’m at home I only use these.

Too THICK so the AeroPress filter cap cannot be secured with this mesh filter in place, making AeroPress unusable since the filter and cap just falls into my coffee mug. I tried flipping it and different angles to make it work, but it's just too thick so there is not enough room for the divets to fit in the slots to screw the filter cap on. Other filters work so it's not my AeroPress.

It's good to have bought a 4-pack, as the first screen went missing after its second use, likely plopped into the trash in my un-caffienated state, as i have done the last thousand times with a paper filter. The mesh is tight enough that any sort of oogy will stick to it, and requires attention with the sprayer. Flavor is good, but I am a heathen who drinks the finest store bought pre-ground stuff, and is unlikely to notice much difference anyway. A solid meh.

I love these filters!! I gave two to a friend of mine for Christmas and he can't get enough of them, and says they were his most favorite gift! I have used mine every day for a few months now and have not swapped any out, and had no issues at all. My only concern was one time when I dropped it in the sink, but that was my own fault. the fit is tight in the Areopress and the coffee is perfect every time. I will purchase these again!
