Island's Miracle Organic Extra Virgin Coconut Oil (29 oz)

The quality of this product is wonderful and I am enjoying using it so I will rate it a five star. I feel like giving it a 3 star because I found it in the local stores SO much cheaper. My fault not the products. If you are going to buy this look around locally first. They sell this at the store for les than $5 a jar.

I was searching through Amazon site looking for a good coconut oil combination which includes skin and hair care. I came up on this brand coconut oil, which caught my interest so i thought i would try it the price was great also.I purchased it ang got it in a few days, I started using it immediately i like that it doesn't have a strong smell also is very easy to apply, My daughter started using it for herself and her 2 years old baby.She like the consistency and it is surly making a difference to our hair and skin.l will definitely continue to use this brand! coconut oil.I will recommend it to my friends and associates

This company is very aggressive in asking for reviews, so I will comply.First, I only use this product as a food..so I offer no feedback on its use for other cosmetic purposes. I feel the company does a good job promoting its products virtues. But like all health food products, the buyer should be aware of claims, as few are ever supported. This applies to all health food type products, not singling out this maker. The picture of the product on the Amazon site appears quite large, a bit deceptive, but the maker is clear about the total volume of 12 oz. 12 oz of oil does not got last very long for cooking.I like the fact the product is Organic and Extra Virgin stored in a glass jar. I often buy similar products, but in plastic containers at much reduced prices. I sometimes cook with it, but am careful not to over use it, as it a saturated fat, albeit, it's suppose to have some health giving qualities. For me, it can feel a bit heavy after eating, vs. the polyunsaturated fats, such as avocado oil. It cooks nicely, has a nice coconut flavor.I have ordered a lot of coconut oils through the years, and this is by far the most costly per oz. My only suggestion to the maker would be, offer a 2nd product, larger size, with a much lower cost per oz. vs. the 12oz bottle, which for cooking, doesn't go far. That would keep me as a customer. At the current price of $18 per 12 oz, a bit too costly vs. the other options. Hence my deduction of 1 one star.

Having just recently learned that coconut oil is a hot commodity in the dog world, I decided to try some for my Great Dane, Rosie. Putting about a tablespoon a day on her food, within a week she was shedding less and her fur was softer and very glossy! The first couple days, I stirred it into her dry food. One morning I was in a rush and just plopped a spoonful on top of her food, and she lapped it up the same say she does ice cream or peanut butter! I mentioned on Facebook about her liking it so much, and many of my dog-loving friends remarked that their own dogs love it, and will follow them around like it's "treat time" when they see the jar. I actually have a couple of recipes that call for coconut oil also, and eventually plan to try it as a moisturizer for my hair, as it is advertised to be great for that also

I do not know what all the negative ratings are about this product .. This stuff is great ! Fast delivery ... Fresh organic vegan coconut oil , smells great absorbs into skin great for cooking , hair .. Skin moisturizer ect-ect .. Product came nicely wrapped ,sealed tight, I would definitely order again !!!! Delightfully tasty! This has a sweetness to it that I have not found in other coconut oils. The flavor is not overpowering so it is perfect for baking. The sweetness does add a little flavor to cooked vegetables, which is great for heavier-tasting veggies such as broccoli, cauliflower, brussel sprouts, etc. Have not yet tried it for cooking fish. A drawback for me is the plastic container - I prefer glass but that is easily remedied by transferring it to a mason jar. Other plus-points: organic and has USDA seal.

I use coconut oil for cooking usually. But, I bought this for eating by the spoonful. It's great. There's no taste and it melts in your mouth like ice cream. I never thought I'd be able to consume this in this way. I usually gag but not with this. It keeps me full and prevents any snacking or cravings. A great filler.

Love this stuff for baking Novak's since you can taste and smell the mild coconut flavor, love it for skin moisturizing or adding to homemade body butter. It is a bit expensive though.

If I get not the full jar, maybe I should not be charged the full price too!!!!!
