Beautiful and healthy
Arrived early in a sturdy box. The tree was healthy. Bought it for my father birthday. We have placed the tree in a pot and it's doing really well. I may well buy another tree for myself in the future.

Early days yet but it seems to have taken well.
It arrived quickly in a sturdy, well-labelled box which had not been damaged by the couriers. I planted it almost immediately in a pre prepared hole with some root promoting fungus, secured it with a stake and a tree tie and after a few weeks it seems to have taken well. Its a very young tree and as expected, it is nothing like as full as the tree in the sales illustration. It is a cleverly grafted bush on top of an 80cm stem forming a lovely small lollypop shaped tree. It did have some new pink growth which has now progressed to white. The older leaves toward the centre are a dark green. The only slight negative is that the then new pink shoots had a lot of brown spots on them which have now gone transparent as the leaves turned white. The supplier thought that it could have been frost damage since they had had a few very cold nights just prior to despatch. As the tree is deciduous this should not affect it in future years in its much milder new home on Anglesey. Only time will tell if that was the reason but if it was then I would not recommend this tree for areas where harsh late frosts are a frequent occurrence. Hence only 4 stars for this beautiful little tree.
