USA Hardwood Maple Pastry and Pie Board, Embossed, 18" x 24" x .75"

Item is just what I wanted - large enough to roll out any kind of dough - bread, rolls, bisquits, noodles, tortillas, etc. without getting flour everywhere else. Sturdy, cleans up nice. My grandmothers had boards like this, called 'bread boards' rather than pastry boards. They were probably hand made, but sure got a workout as we had homemade breads and bisquits all the time. The one I have is rather large (18 x 24)which is what I wanted and I highly recommend this item. It is well made also. Marsha Smith

6 months after purchasing and it's completely warped. I would stay away from this cheaply made board

I purchased this cutting board despite the reviews about warping, because I was going to have this on the countertop beside my stove, not for everyday use. The size was just what I needed. I diligently oiled this immediately after receipt. Once dry, I placed it flat on the counter. I have not used anything wet on it, nor have I set anything hot on it. Now, after only 8 days, and seemingly overnight, this board has warped and has a bow in it over 1/4". I do not recommend this board for purchase. I can imagine what it would have been like if I had been using it and washing it. How warped would it have been then?

Solid wood.. but, a little too big, and slightly heavier than I expected it to be..

This is a nice large board with plenty of work surface. It seems well made and is nice and flat with no warping. It features a handy list of common conversions embossed into the surface; however there is mistake in the list of conversions. 1 TBS does not equal 1/8th cup, but rather 1/16th. I am little surprised that nobody proofed the embossed text before putting it into production.

This is the most beautiful, smooth breadboard I have ever seen! The top side is embossed for pastry work and the other side is as smooth as glass also and can be used for bread making and works very, very well. Anything that Snow River makes is QUALITY, QUALITY, QUALITY. It is worth every cent and wears like iron and cleans up like new. Buy it, you won't be sorry and you will go back for more like I did.

Very nice dough board. Size is just right as I use it primarily for kneading bread dough. The markings are laser etched which wasn't clear in the amazon description, so they won't wear off as is common with some other boards, BUT the grooves do fill up with dough requiring more diligent cleaning. The best part is the board is absolutely flat on my counter, no rocking or wobble when working a batch. All of these larger cutting/specialty boards are made up of planks which adds strength and stability if they're well made and this one looks like it is. I'd buy it again.

After one use, I have found that this item is bowed. The previous reviews are correct. This item just does not hold up compared to other brands. The board is just outright unusable now.
