Everyone, if you haven't already seen from the other reviews, pay attention to who the seller is when you order this item. If you purchase from Fumoto themselves you will receive the plastic fittings. If you order from Industrial Tech Supply you will receive the brass fittings. Most prefer brass but the choice is yours. Both items are as described and work well. The hose you receive from Fumoto is a bit more pliable in cold weather but the Industrial Tech Supply should work fine in most conditions.

Repeat purchase (as I acquire new vehicles). Replace your drain plug with this and that was your last messy, awkward oil change. Connect the hose straight to your drain pan (the included hose is plenty long - either cut it or use your own shorter piece to avoid loops, allowing the oil to always flow downhill). open the valve, and drain all of the oil without spilling a drop. No more risking oil pan drain plug thread damage or wear. No more scrambling to position the drain pan into the changing oil flow.

I did my first oil change the normal way...said this is too much of a pain.. got a Fumoto Valve and this...my gosh, it's almost cheating. Connect the hose, put into drain pain, flip the valve, done..the first time I did it I was so shocked how easy it was. 100% worth it if you don't want to deal with mess and drain bolts.

Hell yeah. This supplier upgraded the adapter to brass instead of plastic due to failing. Very good upgrade and quality. This is a good company to do this.
