This is actually my second Go Smile. I loved my first one and used it until it wouldn’t hold a charge any more. It has done amazing things for my dental health and I would highly recommend it. If This is a great toothbrush with variable speeds and the bonus of the antibacterial blue light feature. It holds a charge for weeks and it leaves your teeth feeling almost as great as a trip to the hygienist.

I was sold on this genius idea to combine blue light right into a toothbrush head many years ago. I had a ‘silver’ (really satin nickel looking) handled one for over three & 1/2 years until the battery wore out and stopped holding a charge. I immediately bought a new one, this time grey. Same satin finish but darker. I suspected it was starting to die the other month, but I just started leaving it on the charger 24/7 after use instead of charging it every +/-two weeks. Not sure if this is good, bad or indifferent for the type of battery they put in this(?) but it’s been fine since.As far as results: Whitening of the teeth depends on the amount of time whitening ingredients is in contact with the tooth surface, what those ingesting are, the concentration of those ingredients and an individual’s current anatomy.With that said, blue light added to these circumstances will accelerate results. The brighter that light, the more impact, and again - time.This device isn’t designed for use beyond two minutes. However, when I was new to this I took it upon myself to experiment with it. After a normal brushing cycle, I rinsed the head and applied a full covering of only the whitening gel and did a second or even a third cycle focusing the light equally in place only lightly touching my teeth and on the gentle setting. If you have the time, this plan absolutely works to achieve a more intense whitening session with this device.FYI: The gel tastes great. I’ve tried others, like 5-minute that aren’t bad, but this one is the best.Segue: I love Colgate Optic White TP. Highly recommend the tall tube ‘flavor’ High Impact. However! I DO NOT recommend the pro series. It taste like pure chemical like they forgot to add any mint. It does whiten slightly better, but it’s not worth it. When I feel like it I’ll use a tiny amount added to the High Impact till I use up the tube since it does actually whiten and I don’t want to throw it away or send for a refund.Brushheads: This is my only gripe about this device. I don’t want rubber or silicone on my toothbrush head. I don’t get it. I just don’t. I don’t need my gums massaged like that. It feels weird. It’s slightly uncomfortable and frankly annoying & in the way.Whenever I change the head I put the new one on, lay it flat on the counter, hold each of those little tips with tweezers and slice them off with a knife or scissors ✂️Speaking of those heads…Hey Amazon WHERE ARE THEY? They used to be available but I guess now they must be purchased direct or elsewhere. YOUR LOSS. Especially with me, cus I’m sticking with this and that is the regular reoccurring sale part of this system.What I would like to see:• Bring back colors that aren’t childish and tacky. Maybe a navy or slate blue?• Heads that don’t have those stupid useless nubs.• A new handle with a larger (2X) battery capacity coupled with 2X brighter lights.So some small improvements could be made, but this is a great product! As I was going on extended trip I charged the unit for three days. I used the brush at least twice a day for 15 days and the Review Toothbrush operated the entire time.The toothbrush has two speeds, Regular and Gentle Mode. The Regular Mode is noisy.The brush bristle is medium to soft in my opinion. My experience after the four minute procedure (2-brush/2-whitening) is teeth feel clean.  There is no residual grit or cleaning material in mouth. Instructions state both PEA size of Gel and Toothpaste CAN be placed on brush head at same time. My personal choice was the two different procedures. I have used this kit daily for about two months, and in that time I have been surprised by how well the toothpaste and whitening gel works. The brush isn't great but it does the job and comes with two extra brush heads, a convenient USB powered charging base with cord, and a USB charger.The brush that's included feels cheap in the hand when compared to other similarly priced brushes from Braun, etc. I would think that they would have included a better brush at this price point but it does the job and hasn't broken down or malfunctioned in the two months I have used it. It charges as expected, and has features that other electronic brushes have such as a quadrant timer, which makes the brush buzz after 30s of brushing so that you can move to a different area in your mouth. It's also got blue LED's but they feel like a gimmick.Fundamentally, this is a good kit, but is it worth the price? I honestly don't think so. If this was priced around $50-60, it would be an instant recommend from me. However, at this price point, I would urge you to pick up the whitening gel and a toothpaste and a good toothbrush from a reputable manufacturer which will be well made and sturdy.I think four stars is a fair rating for this as the kit works, my teeth are whiter. It also comes with things like extra brush heads which are a nice addition. My only gripe is that the brush, even though it works as advertised, feels very cheap in the hand compared to my other electric toothbrushes, and it's just not worth the price in my opinion.
