First of all ‘For Dummies’ catchy name but doesn’t mean you have to be dumb to buy and read this book. It only means you need some help from an ‘expert’. And if you were already an expert you wouldn’t be looking at this book. On to Windows 10 for Seniors [for dummies]. This book is excellent if you want the basics out of your computer. Email, Skype to see the grand kids, viewing pictures, game playing, surfing and maybe a little chatting or some social media like Facebook or Twitter and the basic set up of your desk top. It has some general personalization of windows, tells you how to use an email app. All great and informative stuff. Written in easily to follow instructions and great graphics. Very comprehensive table of contents, a go to book to keep on your desk for easy reference. I would certainly recommend this for the senior or anyone who hasn’t grown up with computers and needs help and a little catch up. Price is excellent and as always prompt shipping with amazon.com.

An abbreviated version of the Windows 10 for dummies especially formatted for seniors with not much computer knowledge. It gives you the set up information you need to get going. It did not have the more in depth information that I needed to solve some of the problems I wanted to solve after it was set up. It was a help but I had already solved most of it on my own.

THIS dummy book for Windows 10 for Seniors is fantastic. The language in it is very "simply & plain speaking" & it's a great help for not only Seniors but for anyone who wishes to understand this Windows 10. I strongly recommend this book for anyone.

Sorry, but this book didn't help much. I'm still overwhelmed by the fast moving digital world. This book didn't simplify instructions as much as I had hoped.. Handling photos just isn't as easy as the writer claimed, in fact, none of the photo handling products are as are good as the Picasa which I used and understood and it got taken away. Why can't you digital people leave things alone when you actually get something that works. The old saying still goes, "If it aint broke, don't fix it". Digital engineers just don't seem to understand that that simple concept. Every time they try to "improve" something that actually works well, it gets ruined and becomes unusable. Just leave things alone.

The "--- For Dummies" is a great series. I have bought at least 10 and will buy more as I need them. They are exceptionally organized. I am 85 years young.

Book is much as I expected. It is proving very helpful since Windows 10 is so much different from previous editions of Windows. Have noticed a few circumstances that I wish were more clearly explained but overall is a good source.

I have several "Dummies" books that are very good but this one is not one of them. If you are not an expert with Windows 10 already don't waist your time on this book. It is a shallow attempt to assist seniors who are computer challenged. We seniors need a very detail index using terms with which we are familiar from previous Windows software. This is necessary in order to find hidden information with new maps using terms we are familiar with. After spending a consider amount of time trying to find out how to change row height and column width I went to my browser and typed that question in and it came to a very clear and concise set of directions. Save your money and time, use your browser.

If you are just upgrading to windows 10 this this is a great learning aid. I got the first upgrade when it was free. Learning this was time consuming. This book has answered lots of questions for me. It is great way to get more proficient.

I have upgraded from Vista to 10, quite a jump. 10 confusing until I bought this very handy informative book, No matter what age group buy it, you will not waste a penny.
